I had this installed on my 78 ripper on the recommendation of my local luthier who said it would Improve intonation and string placement/adjustment. I was interested in what kind of sustain and harmonic improvements might happen… well…Everything just sounds and plays better, it was great before…but it got better! I could hear the difference acoustically before I even plugged it in and it seemed to improve as the bridge settled in, like give it a month or whatever. It’s been on there over a year ...

I bought a GB7 way back in 1989, that's been on a couple of different basses, I had to get a replacement lever about 15 years ago. But it's still going strong. Earlier this week I bought a BT2 for my Status necked fretless Precision, that also has a Kickass bridge on. Had a bit of trouble installing because there was a small blob of resin inside the hole through the headstock that stopped the tuner moving freely. Once I'd sanded that back and reinstalled the BT2 it all worked flawlessly. Hoping ...

I have been relying on Hipshot hardware for my entire music career. Ever since I took the plunge as a teenager and installed a D-Tuner all by myself! All of my basses get the Hipshot treatment. I have been an MTD artist for most of my professional life which come standard with Hipshot. When MTD introduced the headless version with the Hipshot headless hardware, it was a no-brainer. This system is well designed, user friendly and reliable. Intonation adjustments are intuitive and string changes a...

The bridge was easy to install (just bolted on.) The difference in tone and sustain was very noticeable. This is an amazing product and It will be my go to bridge upgrade in the future. I was so impressed with the quality of the manufacturing that I looked to hipshot tuners when it was time to upgrade those.

The bridge is hard to find in Europe, but it was worth the wait for shipping from the US. Normally, I'm not a big fan of modernizing instruments. However, with the original bridge, a proper palm mute technique is almost impossible. Furthermore, the tail lift is a real problem of the original construction. Installation is simple, and the sustain is very good. If you don't mind the weight, I would recommend the brass version because of the usually softer sound (although I couldn't try the aluminum...

I bought this bridge about two years ago now, and felt compelled to give it a review. I've been modding my Jackson Juggernaut HT-6 Pro (Misha Mansoor from the band "Periphery" artist model) since I bought it used a couple years ago and I have to say, I put this fixed bridge on two other guitars as well. It's great looking, comfortable but the best thing is certainly the reliability and tuning stability that I get with it! I paired this bridge with the Hipshot griplock open gear tuners, (so ...

I wanted to try low F# tuning on my Gibson SG for some insanely low doom sounds. I brought this idea to my setup/repair person and he recommended this bridge for the amount of travel. Now, we both know 24.75" scale length isn't ideal for this kind of tuning, but the Hipshot made it work! Plus, the look and feel of it is killer. Super solid and sturdy too. It's a great upgrade for the stock Gibson Nashville bridge.

These are the deco knobs on Grover rotomatics. A little tight to the shaft but with some gentle pressure from a tiny c clamp and everything protected from scratches they went on snugly and work flawlessly! I will use Hipshot products to replace every kidney bean tuner I get for the rest of my life!

Love the Hipshot tuners! I had to get one so I could tune my acoustic bass down to B tuning. Hipshot had the half inch tuner I needed for the B string, the stock tuners snap the B string because they are too small in diameter. Once I found that it worked great I ordered the other 3 tuners. Now I can get a thicker bridge and nut to raise up the strings to eliminate any buzz. I missed the option for shiny Chrome and ended up with one shiny and three matte...oh well, it adds interesting character,...

I originally installed a BT1 regular key on my CLF Research L2000. My OCD got the best of me and I ordered 3 HB1 regular keys to match. The G&L tuners are good tuners; Hipshots are next level.

The quality of Hipshot hardware is completely unmatched. I bought my first set of Hipshot locking tuners about three years ago and ever since then, any instrument I own always gets outfitted with Hipshot hardware. I love that the bridges feel sturdy and well-made, but they are so ergonomic that it feels like the bridge isn’t even there when you’re playing. I cannot get enough of Hipshot, and at this point I will be a lifetime customer.

I got this bridge for the same reason everyone else did, the stock three point sucks. The hipshot feels way better. Everything from adjusting the intonation to the finish on the bridge just feels better. The install is just two bolts, couldn't be easier. Great product!

All my 3 custom builds have the 1/2 Usa Ultralight tuners. They are light, stable and durable over 10 years without a problem. Getting the last one gold color was the best idea with matching hardware and gold frets too. It really became the best instrument I've laid eyes on.

Perfect drop in fit on my 1965 Epiphone Newport. Replacement of the original bridge with the two mount goldtone makes this old girl like a new instrument. All I can say is, "Wow"!

I wasn't %100 sure if it was going to fit my Greco Thunderbird but I'm happy it was a direct retrofit. After some trial and error with the screws to see which ones were the metric size (they weren't labeled) I got them and the installation was overall quick and painless! I'm really happy to have a bridge I can have mechanical confidence in for future adjustments! It looks great with with the cover on too!

Tried to get on with the Gibson G-force tuning system for about two years. A great idea in theory but I couldn't get it to the accuracy I was after. I decided to get some locking tuners. I did some research on line and noticed some hipshot tuners that you don't have to drill holes in your head stock. (the g-force system doesn't have screws). So I bought a 3+3 set. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. It took me about half an hour to fit the tuners. My guitar stays in tune nicely...

I changed all the hardware on a new USA Gibson explore to gold. The explorer comes with mini rotomatics and the pearl tulip tuner buttons do for and function perfectly. And replace the kidney beans that I hate. Makes the guitar I must say!

These tuners are amazing ! Direct replacement for the Fender 70' and Schaller BMF tuners. Easy installation and no need to drill new screw holes (the included screws are slightly wider, so it's a perfect fit). You can even use the old peg bushings, the tuners fit in perfectly. Best tuners I've ever had on a bass guitar !

I own a Fender CIJ Jaguar bass, it is a great instrument with tons of sound options but seem to lack end bottom. I retrofit the bridge and first I thought about the most popular option (badass), but noted string spacing was limited, so I installed a Hipshot. The bass sounds great with this change, has more presence (Fundamentals) and cuts better thru live sound. I am seriously thinking on putting in all my basses.

They work fine on the Grover tuning machines that came with my 2017 J-45 Standard. They're not what I would call "pearl" but I knew that going in and I got exactly what I wanted. Thanks.

Wanted a little more flair than just all black hardware. Went with pearl butter bean. Turned out nice. The Grovers have the half moon mini shape, but the butter bean looks nice and I like the dished sides. It makes them easier to get a grip on. They are a perfect fit on Grover tuners.

Being VERY disappointed with the string spacing on my 72 Pawn Shop I was resigned to the fact that even after rearranging the nut slot spacing that I would never resolve the issue. Not sure what inspired me to fit the Hipshot bridge but I am glad I did. No extra work required to fit the Hipshot - the three original mounting holes in the body of the guitar aligned perfectly - but I am glad I did - the strings now align perfectly with the bridge pickup poles and the edges of the neck ( Fender WR...

Worked well to replace Grover buttons! Though I did lose the smooth tuning tension adjustment of the original screw, these just go on until they're tight enough and have that specific tension. If you try to increase that tension by tightening further, they could crack/break (this is for the pearl tulips). They still work just fine though for me. A purist wouldn't like the look up close, but looks perfectly fine up on stage.

Love this bridge! Used it on this 7 string that I built for a friend, chemically aged the nickel plating to get the look that he wanted. The offsets for the B&E string-thru holes as well as the fact that it is ambidextrous are the kind of details that I love about Hipshot bridges.

Like so many Rickoholics I had accepted that every relationship with a Ric is a lot like a relationship with a romantic partner. Compromise is an essential part of a happy and health relationship. I love each Ric I have but I know that I can't have everything. Consistently reasonable action height... that is something I accepted was not going to be the same as some of previous relations with the ladies of Fender or say a Music Man lady. But Hipshot saved my relationship with a beautiful 2007 Blu...

I replaced the TonePros TOM in my Schecter Blackjack SLS with this, and it has been an upgrade in every way. Not only did the sustain and tone improve as advertised, but it even improved string tension and tuning stability. I was expecting a noticeable but subtle difference, and this bridge far exceeded expectations. I can’t recommend it enough!

The original tuners on my VOX Phantom IV were shot. With some research, I find the HB5 were a close replacement The sting peg fit the small diameter bushings. I had to fill the original screw holes on the head stock and drill new pilot holes for installation. The bass is not in collector shape, so the slight modification is not a problem.

So, this is the fourth Ibby HM bridge I replace from the original one (Gibraltar 2). I don't understand how people can play with the original bridge. Once you've tried this Hipshot bridge, it's impossible to go back.

I recently had my first own signature custom shop 6 string baritone made in Singapore. I choose hipshot for both the bridge and the open gear machine head. The results is perfect! It is so easy to intonate my guitar and it keeps the tuning so well. From now on all my new guitars will be with the hipshot bridge! Thank you for the amazing product. \m/

2 of 2 of my headless short scale 5 stings. Both play and sound amazing, and never go out of tune! The record is one month (9 shows) of literally NO tuning necessary, including playing the shows, and the travel in between shows. Simply amazing. Now, if they only made a 5 string headless TREMOLO system…🤔

Just put the bridge on my limited-edition standard. Thank you for your products and your customer service. It is very much appreciated. Hipshot products are not cheap, but they are worth it. There is a reason the best luthiers in the industry use hipshot products. Hipshot will always be number one on the list when it comes to hardware. If I had one suggestion it would be to have more colors as an option. However, I have no idea of the production costs involved with that. I just don't see multi...

I added these to my 2021 Mexican Player series P Bass. I ordered them through a 3rd party supplier. Unfortunately the bushings were the wrong size. I emailed Hipshot and Bill got in touch the same day. He shipped (for Free, I didn't ask he just did it) the correct bigger sized bushings. They look great on my bass. All my guitars and basses have Hipshot tuners and after this super positive experience every future bass will have them as well. Cheers

Beautiful bridge. Sounds fantastic. Beautiful craftsmanship and super shiny chrome. Strings all sit on their speaking lengths on the saddle pieces instead of on the wrap like on she Gibson 3-point stock bridge. So a successful replacement for the stock Gibson bridge, and also has side-to-side saddle adjustment as a bonus, and more weight for offsetting some neck dive. Everything sits rock solid so far. Only improvements could be: 1. Make the low E string saddle black roller piece a little wider ...

I know it's not advertised to fit, but these will fit newer Rickenbacker 4003 basses with the larger headstock, which was introduced in the early 2000s. My 4003 is a January 2010 build, and the XTender fits perfectly. The issue with the smaller headstock used on earlier 4003 and all 4001 basses is that it will interfere with the G string tuner. One could possibly modify a spare G tuner to allow installation of the XTender, I have not tried. I can assure everyone that on the newer headstock, it i...
