Hipshot tuners are absolutely amazing. I wanted some upgrade tuners for my 8 string because the stock tuners dont like to keep the top 8th string in tune very well. I also like that they have the satin color option because they go extremely well with the paint job. I'm extremely happy with these tuners.

I purchased a Warmoth Standard 5 fretless Jazz bass neck for one of my Jazz V bodies. The Warmoth Standard 5 neck uses an in-line 5 configuration and these Hipshot LIC HB6 tuning machines fit the bill. The LIC tuners are nothing to balk at, very firm construction and stay in tune like a charm. Sure, they’re not reversible, but who cares? Once they are in place, there is no need to reverse anything.

I purchased a set of 6 tulip style (D04) tuner buttons in Pearl color and I couldn't be happier. I installed them on Grover sealed tuners on a 2015 Gibson Memphis ES-339, and they went on easily. I was a little concerned about the color because the Hipshot on-line "catalog" color is a darker hue, almost green. Fortunately another buyer has posted a couple of pics of how they look installed, and that gave me confidence to buy them. They have a vintage pale-yellowish pearloid color. In dim light, ...

Installed on my Yamaha BB1024X. This instrument already had excellent sustain and I doubted any improvement was possible but I was wrong. Made a great bass even better. Placement in my case was mm critical to retain the stringthru option and get maximum intonation range. Highly recommended 😊

This is about as good as it gets for classic Fender applications. I replaced a set of Fender Pure Vintage Bass Tuning Machines (007-8834-049) that came on my 2023 Mod Shop Jazz Bass due to the sticky operation. These Hipshot HB3s are smooth and stable. The fact that they look fantastic on the all-rosewood neck is a bonus! Don't hesitate to make the move, you won't regret it.

I've been a Hipshot user and fan since meeting Dave Borisoff (The inventor and genius behind the Hipshot B Bender) at the La Guitar Show in 1985. My original plan was to use the Hipshot unit to confirm I could incorporate a B Bender into my guitar playing, then follow up with a Parson-Greene-type unit. But I found the approach of engaging the Hipshot was much more natural and didn't interrupt the flow of my playing as opposed to pulling down on the neck, etc. And the Drop D option is very kewl....

The Bridge is super easy to install. I have it on 2 of my guitars now. Its really good for achieving good intonation on a 7 string guitar. Got a guitar tuned to drop A flat at 25.5 inch scale and the intonation is great! much more room for the strings/saddles to intonate. Pieced this Fender Squire Precision Mini Bass together from parts found around the internet. Came across a body, neck, and misc parts. My go to parts for all most all of bases are a Hipshot 5K400B Bridge along with Seymour Duncan PU's. A great combination for a great sound. Thanks, Vince

Just added my Hipshot Grip-Lock open tuners to my Ibanez AS73. They fit perfectly, just had to drill the holes for the small screws on the back. Great quality, look and work great! May add to one of my other guitars!

This bridge is much better than the stock Gibraltar II. It is easy to install and setup, adds snap and sustain and looks much better. I plan to install another on my second RGD7. Definitely recommended!

I’m on my 2nd set of Hipshot LIC Ultralite tuners, and on my 2nd Warmoth roasted maple neck! These tuners are absolutely impeccable. So smooth, so accurate! Both basses that I posted (the other with black hardware) have all Hipshot hardware anyway, bridges and string trees. Best stuff you can get!

Very easy installation, had to use spacer because the hole in the headstock was 18mm and the tuner is 16mm. Tuning stability is awesome. Bought another set for one of my other basses. Great value for the buck and back :)

I have licensed HB6Ys on three of my Lakland Skylines, and I have the US versions on several other basses. Honestly, it's hard to tell the difference. Other than the fact you can't change the orientation on the licensed ones, they set and hold tune just as well as the US ones.

Great product! I have not found a hipshot product that I do not like. I think a little more detailed mounting instructions would help. It was easy on my '52 reissue telecaster but I did have to drill some holes. It wasn't difficult and it doesn't bother me. I'm just wondering if I did it right. Doesn't matter because in the end they work great and I'm happy with the result.

A great upgrade. In terms of feel, this is the best upgrade one can make in my opinion. Works great on my '52 reissue telecaster. I had the old style saddles that can accommodate the ash tray. I find the "wall" around the bridge plate intrusive. This resolved the issue. Thank you very much hipshot for your fine products!

Awesome tuners!! Got the upgrade kit for my LTD. Very easy to install, even for someone who hasn’t done it before. The tuners work very well, a nice high ratio so you can make small adjustments if needed. The plates (included in the kit) are thin and not even noticeable on the back of the headstock. They could be a bit wider to cover the screw holes from Grover machine heads, but that’s not a big deal. The gold open gears look great in contrast to the black machine heads. I bought a 100 dollar Rogue fretless 4 string bass and turned it into a Hot Rod. LOL! Sanded and used boiled linseed oil on the finger board, then Ernie Ball Flat wound strings, added Seymore Duncan pickups, and finally, the bridge of all bridges. The Hipshot Kickass Badass 5K400C Bridge. This little project turns heads at the local jam sessions and sounds awsome too. Even better than I expected. The Hipshot Ibby FP is the best-feeling bridge I've ever played on. Say goodbye to grub screws and sharp edges digging into your hand while you play; this bridge takes care of all of that. Great sustain, easy install, and extremely comfortable to play. Also, the updated design (pictures not shown on the website) allows you to string it up through the body OR from the back of the plate. Thank you Hipshot for a quality product.

Took a 150 dollar fretless Rogue Series III bass and rebuilt it into 500 dollar sounding bass. Used a 5K400B Bridge along with Seymour Duncan PU's, Ernie Ball Flat wound strings. Then I sanded the fingerboard and stained it with Boiled Linseed Oil. Great sound now and fun to play.

Not the first time installing one of these bridges and probably not the last. Best bass bridge out there in my opinion! In this case, I installed on a 1979 Kramer DMZ4001B I just acquired. The original bridge was long gone and a previous owner install a generic bridge. But was not able to dial in the intonation with this bridge. So installed the Kickass. Not only does it look great, but I was able to dial in the intonation as well as string spacing. And adds a bit of extra punch as well!

This is my second kickass bass bridge if you look closely n the picture behind the the Jackson you’ll see the first one on the StingRay yhea yhea it’s not an ErnieBall style replacement🤫 surely tho it was an upgrade and sold me on a next one.. Tho if theses find gentlemen were to offer better than a stock style replacement.. hint hint highmass, ide prolly replace it and upgrade another bass with the kickass\m/
