The birdie device fits inside the palm of your hand but when you pull and mount the birdie the alarming sound the birdie makes echos as the sound grows stronger and louder. The Birdie will scare off any attacker! When I checked to make sure it works, the flashing lights were so bright and the alarm so loud, it scared the daylights out of me. It took me a few too many seconds to put the pin back in because I was so frazzled! A+++

when i bought this i originally didn't know how loud it would be. fortunate for me i accidentally set it off trying to put it on my lanyard, which at first was rather starting, but also relieving (because i know no it works). anyways, while i'm on here another reason why you should get this is the gold key ring, yeah you can get one on Amazon sure... but this one is perfect for holding extra hair ties. and is really convenient + isn't ugly. i would definitely recommend buying this :)
