Very excited to begin this button journey for Bella and I! Bella pressed on the first day and I’m very happy with the Speak Up kit. I got some normal volume buttons from a friend and the Speak Up buttons are much louder, which is helpful in a big house and/or for humans that are hard of hearing. Customer service has been excellent, Button Bootcamp was awesome, and the trainers and facilitators I’ve met and/or had classes with online are top notch. You just can’t go wrong with Fluent Pet!

I'm shocked by how quickly loki started picking up buttons once we got the louder / connected set. The first time he realized we were listening/ reacting he was so excited- I think asking to go outside is more exciting than actually going outside.

My 1 year old Golden Retriever took to the buttons immediately! He pressed “ice” within 30 seconds of me putting the button on the floor. We are about three weeks into our FluentPet journey and he now has 10 words that he is using daily! He is still working on pressing combinations of buttons. Once he is pressing buttons together consistently (like play and tug) I plan to order another kit to expand his agency and vocabulary. This has been a wonderful investment and helped a lot with problem beh...

I decided to give buttons a try after my guinea pigs rang a dinner bell when asked for a treat. I started using the buttons with my 2 boar guinea pigs. I modeled “hi, Buddy, Lucky” first each time I greeted them I pushed hi and Buddy or hi Lucky. Once Lucky started pushing his name and hi buttons. Then I added dinner, dessert, want, hmm buttons. After Lucky started pushing dinner button too much then I added no no. I recently added my name”Donna”. Lucky pushed Donna yesterday after I was talking...

The system has been fun to use. I started with the starter pack, and my learner Dublin took to it really fast so I decided to invest in this system. She’s quickly gotten up to 9 buttons and I’ll likely add a few more this week. It’s really cute when I put a new one down, because she will press it immediately about 10-20 times while staring down the speaker as if committing the word to memory! Other times she will miss a button or it won’t go off like she wants and will get angry and paw at the s...

It took our dog Toby a couple months to use his first word but you can see he's enthusiastic about it now! We did the Button Bootcamp and within a few days he had multiple words. Now he has quite a few and we're always adding more. He barks so much less now that he can communicate more clearly! But in this video you can see a Toby tantrum. Which is so cute and so much better than barking!

It's been a really fun adventure to watch our cat learn to communicate with us. I never thought he would catch on so quickly! Whether it's asking for some extra food, going outside, or even playing with a specific toy! We just ordered six more and can't wait to see what else we can teach him.

Jim just pressed he first buttons today. It was so fun. He pressed "go for a walk," and immediately he ran to point at his leash and harness. When we got back, I got on my phone and in a minute I heard him press "help" and it turned out he had got his bone stuck under the t.v. He has seen us model the uttons about 60 times, and he had one accidental press a while back. After the accidental press I treat to encourage him and he really didn't like thatso we kept just showing him and waiting. I...

Our two new 5 month old kittens Misty and Foggy love their buttons…despite still figuring them out. Misty has pressed her Nooch button with her paw a few times and more often, so far, by walking up and deliberately rolling over in it. (Nooch gets them a little bowl of nutritional yeast and water…cat soup!) They also have upstairs and downstairs buttons for which they strongly know the words and are using the upstairs button appropriately. Downstairs is still a work in progress.

My dog started using her first two buttons appropriately within 3 weeks. We are now working on boundaries and having her learn she doesn’t get something everytime she presses “eat” 🥴😂 We started with “eat” and “outside” and noticed she will request outside to play and potty so those will be our next words. It’s been a fun bonding experience with our pup 💖

Hold up, let me brag about Jade for a sec! She's crushing this whole talking button thing! 💪 We started with just three buttons on 2/6/23 - potty, Jade, and the ever-exciting peanut butter surprise (PBS). It was our sneaky way of giving the girls their meds. 😉 Next thing we knew, she was rocking that PBS button like it was her job! I had to teach her the 'all done' and 'later' buttons real quick. But honestly? She loved it! She went from spamming buttons left and right to putting together full ...

I thought it will be tough, not because of my child but because of me, I’m not a very good trainer! BUT omg it took less than a week till she started pressing her buttons. I used “Love” (which kinda just means she gets pets and cooing) and “Play” at first, which was confusing for her, because she just associate pressing the button to just some kind of response from me. But I added a “Food” button, and she started realising the difference between the buttons!!! Surprisingly, she uses “Play” m...

My Cozy argues sometimes about pressing the buttons because she's been communicating with me without them for 13 years. But she is getting better and better. My Travis only steps on them by accident but I reward both of them immediately anytime they press a button.

Toffee is up to eight words (water, hungry, outside, play, training, scritches, treat, all done). She consistently requests training and play, narrates when she has just had a drink of water, and lets us know when she is hungry - we slept in a few days ago, so she went downstairs to her buttons, pressed "hungry", and waited until we came down to feed her. Lol! Scritches is her newest word, and she is starting to use it occasionally. She is especially chatty right after she has eaten dinner and w...

My cats, Salem and Styx, love the buttons! They spend most of their time near them and it took around 5 days for them to push the button consciously for the first time! We’ll keep learning and see how it’ll work out!

So I’m going to be perfectly honest. Our dog Samira is a super smart dog to begin with so we knew she was going to take to this system perfectly. She just turned 2 and we’ve been training her with special words fords certain things so after recording them on the buttons she naturally picked it up. We bought the 6 button starter kit and we’ve been working on 3 buttons right now. 1-Poop, 2-peedles, 3- Hungries and she knows them all and we’ve had it less than a month. Definitely worth the money if...

I actually purchased the starter kit previously but it was the original style buttons. I was trying them with my cat at the time and he wasn't interested. I have a puppy now and she is using them to ask to go outside to POTTY and also to play BALL and TUG. I have an original button and an improved button on my hexpad and I definitely like the new buttons better. The sound is louder and clearer. For the POTTY button I affixed it to our sliding door with Command Strips since she had previous ...

My learner Dublin has taken to the buttons well! The edge pieces are great to keep the board clean and looking nice. Lining up with the speaker on the connect portion is the only part that has been a bit odd. I just have them up to the first part of the connect and then bare on the rest around it which is working well for now.

My one year old kitty loves the buttons! When not using them he often lays on them. Now that he can ask for what he wants he rarely darts past us out the door or knocks over plants. He knows he can ask to go outside and to play all kinds of fun activities. He is expanding his vocabulary and is curious to try out new buttons. My 3 year old cat rarely uses them but when she does I can tell it's intentional because she pushes the buttons for her favorite things like "eat".

I have a golden retriever that is five months old. I grabbed her food bowl the other day to feed her and then I put it down for a minute to do something else, one of our buttons is the word eat, After a few minutes of me not feeding her I heard the button go off for eat and turned around and she was standing over it, and I was totally amazed. It was probably about two weeks into teaching her the eat button. My husband said he was busy the other day doing some thing around dinner time again and s...

These buttons have been so beneficial for our developing relationship. Darla is communicating so well with her buttons! She’s using 6 buttons with intention, but loves to request “play” and “out”. The other day she was playing with an ice cube that went under the ottoman. She used her buttons to communicate “help” and “out”. I expanded by modeling “you need help to get the ice out, but it’s melted and all done.” I’m ready to start to adding more to her repertoire and it’s very exciting. I star...

My corgi topped out at 6 buttons (she’s 10). My golden puppy is at 24 and counting. He loves putting words together to make new words (water walk = let’s walk on the beach) and telling my teen son that he’s a “good dog.”

Hazel has been using buttons successfully for almost a year. She is up to 32 button words, but uses 10-16 of them most frequently. The new edge pieces and Speak Up buttons are definitely nice additions to our set of communication tools. We really love being able to understand our pup’s wants and needs on a deeper level.

Its been 3 weeks with buttons. Koda didnt feel well and was sick to her stomach. I cleaned it up telling her "its ok, mommy loves you". She walked over and pressed "love you"! First time on her own. That alone was worth it! I see her look at it processing. Has pressed "ball" twice now. Patience is key, she'll talk when ready.

It took a few months with some accidental presses before the my kitten started using the button intentionally. Now he's using 3 buttons (play, outside, and eat). He seems to know what they mean and use them accordingly. He is seeming more cuddly and connected now, though very demanding at times. He definitely really likes the buttons and will lay across them a lot. The other cat is not really using them yet but hopefully one day. She seems to understand and wants to come along for the things he ...

Treasure loved her buttons as a puppy! We started around 6 months old, and she learned super fast. She is 2 years old now and really only uses her buttons to say “want”, “outside,” or “oma” (grandma) on her own. Walks are her favorite but she doesn’t initiate asking for them, she just prefers to only use the buttons on the outside of the sideboard now. She answers questions though, she will hit “toy” or “play” if I ask her if that’s what she wants. I am hoping the louder buttons help her become ...

His 1st involuntary press was ‘Go Potty’ stepping on it by the door. His 1st deliberate press was ‘Water’ when he notified us his bowl as empty. I say ‘All Done’ and press the button when he sits to have his collar taken off when coming inside: one day - during a zoom call -l just opened the back door to his play pen and let him in, and went back to my call with out taking off his collar. He sat there looking up at me, then pressed “Go Potty” “All Done”. I apologized and took off his collar. H...

I have been amazed how easy it was to engage my 6 month-old puppy with buttons! Mac was already communicating with us and adding the words was another layer. Over 3 weeks we worked up to our first 12 words. The buttons are easy to record and the hextiles with the border kit are sturdy. We are a work in progress and enjoying the journey.

Yesterday, about a month after successfully hitting our first button, I had a bit of a dizzy spell due to sinusitis. I sat in front of the buttons and hit 'Pippin' 'help' 'mommy' as I was drinking water, taking deep breaths, and petting her. My significant other had been working at his computer and came over to make sure that I was okay. It was at that point that Pippin looked up at my significant other and said to him, unprovoked, with buttons, 'help' 'help' 'now!' I had to fight back tears. Th...

I’ve been eyeing these edge pieces to complete our button sound board & decided to finally get them on sale! My pup unfortunately would sometimes chew off the unfinished puzzle ends so having the smooth edge pieces prevent that from happening. I also find it’s much easier to vacuum around the sound board!

Nothing is more gratifying than seeing your hard work modelling pay off! My learner Louis & I started with 2 buttons then upgraded to 12 connect & now have expanded his vocabulary with 6 more connect buttons. It feels great giving him the option to communicate more specifically as we go on our journey.

I’ve got two ESA’s whom live with me. We are not presently doing a lot of learning utilizing our FluentPet tools as my health is not where I need it to do so. I believe both animals will enjoy and have success once we become more engaged. I love FluentPet Company. HI BUNNY AND MOMMA!!!

I have two cats and one took to the buttons very quickly...of course using treats to help him learn to press was a great incentive. Now he is pushing lots of buttons and I had to buy more to add to the vocabulary. The other cat is very curious and although not treat driven I'm hoping he'll start pushing buttons on his own.

We've used the traditional FluentPet buttons as well as the Connect buttons, but we recently upgraded to all Connect buttons due to the sound quality and the ability to catalog Mumen's presses on the app. You can see a brief example of the app in this video as well as the sound quality the Connect buttons produce. We are having so much fun with the buttons. We started with two, food and outside, because those are things Harley already requests and clearly communicates, so I figured it would be an easy transition. He uses both consistently when prompted and spontaneous when he’s highly motivated. As you can see, he’s got the food button figured out and has my mom figured out too!! I do not approve of the french fries but definitely could not say no to his request this time ;-)

Maisie took less than two weeks to catch on, And once she figured it out, she started going to the buttons instead of whining, barking, or acting out. When I introduced two new buttons, she immediately went and pressed each to see what they were and got the hang of them within a day. She is even pressing two button in a row, for example, “play” and “ball.” They only thing I would tell someone thinking about getting started is that once your pet find their voice, they will let it be heard…ALL T...

Dash is a talking tabby! He's got 24 buttons and counting and talks to me nonstop all day everyday lol its amazing to be able to communicate with him and warms my heart when he says things like "mom love you" or lets me know he wants to play (and what specific toy he wants to play with at that moment)! Huge fan of the small button size, easy recording and interlocking hextiles. Will be purchasing more to help Dash expand his vocabulary!!
