This is a great travel rod, the case is incredibly sturdy so no worry about guide damage. As a rod builder (sometimes I get lazy) the rod is built very well and the quality of guide/wrap/coat is very nice. I wish there was a little more toadfish teal in it but a great build. Looking forward to fishing this rod in San Diego Bay and off the rocks in Oahu. My only regret is I bought it to soon, now they are offering a free reel with the purchase...oh well

Having close to 60 setups for Bass, Walleye and Trout tournaments, ever one is the highest end Shimano, Saint Croix or loomis Rods. As these are great, I am blown away by Toadfish set ups! They cast farther, are more sensitive and even smother than some of my shimanos costing 4 times as much! I am a Toadfish addict for life. Nothing else compares!
