Kiryn’s brother, Rajay, lost his four year battle with bone cancer when he was 19 years old. He finished Chantilly High here in Northern Virginia in 2020 and was a freshman at George Mason University when he passed. He loved Billie Eilish and went to several of her concerts so owned a bunch of her shirts along with CHS and GMU. Sarah and I wanted to make a quilt for Kiryn to hold onto those memories of Rajay! I had this quilt made for my husband as a birthday present. He'd been saving a stack of t-shirts from his college for years to do a project like this, but never got around to it. Project Repat made it so easy and turned it around faster than expected. It was a little time consuming to cut up the t shirts, but worth it to pick the best sides to use. Project Repat did a beautiful job designing the layout of the quilt, and my husband was very happy with it. :)

After playing baseball for 13 years, I knew I didn’t want to see my son’s jerseys in a box in the garage forever. Project Repat gave his jerseys new life and his quilt was the perfect way to send him off to college with something to remember home. Love this blanket! It's perfect for keeping your legs/lap warm. I love that this blanket specifically includes races that I've run so it holds a very personal meaning to me. It seems like every race gives out a shirt and I just don't want that many shirts. Some shirts weren't my style but had a great logo. This blanket helped keep the memories and saved the shirts from the landfill. It's a win/win.

These are the best. I ordered one for myself last year with my children’s sports shirts and I love it so much. I use it on top of my regular blanket during the winter because it’s so heavy. This quilt process scared me alittle at first, but it was really very easy! They said to expect it 5 weeks and it came in 3 weeks, so that was a great surprise. We got the 2 sided, and added 1 photo to it. It is a treasure to my husband ...it was all of his ball shirts, that he would never get rid it. I highly recommend it. It was recommended to me by a friend that had one made for her son!

This quilt means so much to me because the shirts are my son's, Noah, who passed away on May 9, 2020 from brain cancer. I decided to use project Repat to create a memorial quilt out of my deceased husband’s T-shirts. My husband was a tour Bus Driver and drove across the country and into Canada driving bands. 80% of the shirts sent were from the bands, and could not replaceable!
