It is with sadness that I had this made as I lost my beloved son at age 29 last year. I didn’t want his favorites shirt just piling in a storage box. I wanted him with me, even if it was just his shirts. I am forever grateful for Project Repat for making this beautiful quilt that I also had the back made with his favorite color purple. He will always be by my side.

Our son knew this was coming for his graduation but it was still a really fun reveal when it arrived today. He had helped pick out the shirts but I added a few surprises in there. I made one myself for my husband years ago but did not have time to make my son’s. It was beyond our expectation and such nice quality. I love my T-shirt quilt! The underside is so soft, and the whole quilt is warm. I had been storing these shirts in boxes in my closet. I had forgotten what I even had. I paid for the expedited shipping, so I would have it in time for my son's graduation. I am satisfied with it and he loved it. It is lightweight, but we will probably hang it on a blanket later I am thinking. I'm glad we could save his tshirts this way. Be prepared to purchase the shipping label separately. I wasn't aware of this until I proceeded to send the shirts to make the blanket. You can add roughly $50 to $60 on top of the price of making the blanket.

I’ve been saving Elevation Church t-shirts for years, knowing that I wanted to make a blanket. The quilt turned out better than I could have imagined, I keep showing it off to all my friends. I had a hard time paring down the shirts for this quilt but now I’m working on a couple more blankets with the shirts that didn’t make it on the first one. The workmanship of the quilt was outstanding, everyone should gather their sentimental shirts and turn it into an heirloom.
