Great product. Incredibly sharp and durable edge. Holds up to rough treatment but in my opinion it’s more suited for skinning as implied, quartering and some processing. I’ve jokingly callled it my outdoor kitchen knife; but it can handle all duties around a campsite. I debated getting the s90v version with the select edge but wanted something more durable and I’m not a collector. (Yet). With their life sharp program I didn’t see the need for the steel upgrade.

I received these boots on my way out to door to go quail and pheasant hunting. I literally unpackaged them and put them on in the truck on the way from central Oklahoma southwest Kansas. The next 2 days I put just over 20 miles on these boots and not one blister or sore foot. That’s saying a lot because my feet constantly hurt. I really like this rod. It's lighter than my previous generation Platinum 13'8" 8 weight and definetely feels it. Easier to cast and less fatiguing. Spot on with a 575 grain skagit. I'll be trying scandi heads in the summer so no input on those yet. Being a 6 piece travel rod, it takes a little longer to align the extra sections. Alignment dots would have been nice. But I didn't notice the extra ferrules in casting it. It's super smooth. i'm looking forward to playing a winter run steelhead ...

Fin&Fire is my go to shop for my Spey casting needs. I ordered several Rio Intouch 15’ tips of different sink rates. More common than not they always have the products I need. The tips were packaged very well and shipped super fast. I have never had an issue with my products being damaged. I can not recommend Fin&Fire enough for all your fly fishing needs. They are who I go to first for my Spey needs.

I love the sink tip line. I do exclusively saltwater fishing and depths vary greatly. Most places I fish the depth is 2 feet to 10 feet. The average is probably 6. The sink tip line allows my fly to get down to the fish in a hurry. By adjusting the timing of the strip/retrieve I am able to adjust the depth. I have become addicted to sink tip line. I have recently purchased bankshot sink tip and I am excited to try it out.

This is my the 8th fly I have have ever tied. I'm new at this so I haven't used the rotary feature to it's full capacity but can tell it will be handy in time. The vise base is heavy enough so it doesn't move around. I clamped a size 4 and a size 18 hook in the vise and held both very well. It came two plastic bolts that suck. One holds the rotary part of the vice which got broken off in shipping and the other holds the bobbin holder which I had to use in the rotary feature. Like I mentioned, ...

I've always been a fan of Montana Fly Co. Durable, well tied flies. This ones pretty deadly too, I think Perhaps it's the Peacock tail? Pro Tip, clip the rubber legs to half their length....the fly is even deadlier!

just got it set up I live in Cambridge ID up land game bird just started my bird dog is 1/2 German short hair 1/4 wire pointer 1/4 poodle as you know Cambridge is on the rim of hells canyon . oh and by the she just turned 1 year . and she is all ready rocken it. the vest feels like it is going to work for me .
