First of all, the delivery time beat the expected delivery time by days and allowed me to use the product on a scheduled trip. First off, the customer service at Fin and Fire is excellent. I originally purchased a Ross Revolution R and was very disappointed with the quality. Chris exchanged the reel with no issues. The Tibor Backcountry feels much more substantial. I had the opportunity to fish it this past weekend and the drag was smooth and it performed flawlessly. I wasn’t sure how I’d like them going from a stiffer 4 flex boot but man are they comfortable. Purchased this vest just prior to a trip to nodak for sharpies. I was able to carry plenty of water (2 quarts) for the dogs. Vest is comfortable and fairly cool even in the unseasonably warm weather we encountered. As a minimalist this fit my needs nicely.

This is the definitive hip/sling pack. External water and tippet holders, along with handy loops for Clio ons allow you to realize the entire volume..10 L is quite a bit of capacity when it is not cluttered with tipper spools, water bottle and other accessories. Zipper is a bit stiff at first but loosens with use- thevprice you pay for being fully waterproof. Also makes a perfect boat bag....Great product

I don’t usually comment on my online purchases, but am so moved because the product exceeded my expectations and arrived as promised in two days time. Please note that I purchased the 0.022 and 0.017 diameter Cortland mono core line to use as a floating line for my Tenkara rods. The larger diameter line works well on my faster rods (RFI of 5.0 or higher); my full flex rods (RFI of 3 to 4) load nicely with the smaller diameter line.

The first rod was a little crooked in the tip section and Chris sent a straight rod out in no time at all. Fin and Fire’s customer service is excellent. The 10’ rod fished very well. I found it easy to pick up a lot of line and if delivered flies very well in windy conditions. I did not find the rod too heavy and was a pleasure to cast.

No gripe with backing itself, my one complaint would be with whomever spun the backing and line on, left a big nasty knot in backing at line connection that had to be hand guided through the guides on the yellow fin to get the line on the spool. Luckily with team work we were able to get it through and on the reel and not get ran back out to backing again. I'm sure it was an honest mistake and I probably should have double checked it all myself but I didn't have a lot of free time before trip so...

I got a decent yellow fin, and a nice rooster on the reel. For ripping and stripping fast i really like the fact that the full outer rim will not allow line to slip between reel and spool like most other reels. Smooth, strong, I might go so far as to say it outperformed a few other 12 wt reels on the trip that were almost twice as expensive. Supper happy with this purchase and plan to buy more of them.
