Was a little hard to find the 2 piece rod case in the shorter length. I had already returned one for being too long. This one is much nicer looking as well.

I like the fact that my order was filled quickly and delivered. It was a Echo Bravo 10-12 fly reel and the fact that for a fair price backing was installed to facilitate either a 10 t0 12 line. Really happy with the way things were processed and now ready for my next salt water trip coming up very soon.

Fantastic option when you want to get everything off your shoulders. Take your THUNDERHEAD CHEST PACK and take off the shoulder straps slide it on the belt with the water bottle holder so easy...Net slides perfectly in the back on the slot on the belt.

Got a great deal on the Clearwater combo. Took it out for the first time this weekend, and caught my first trout on a fly. Everything worked as advertised and expected. Couldn't ask for a better deal. The purchase experience was also amazing.

I used this to carry 2 poles 350 miles at speed up to 75 MPH and it didn’t flinch. I’ve carried multiple rods around the mountains of NC in the rain and it has worked flawlessly. It’s everything I’d hoped it be.

Have not used it yet but fixin to take it to Kodiak, we will see how it does with the Salmon but it’s definitely a good looking reel and feels very smooth. The brake system will be new to me but excited to try it!!

I love this Amplitude 9 wt line when the wind picks up a little in the flats. It shoots quickly and the coating stays slick all day in the salt. I use the Grand Slam on my 8wt; 9wt and my 11wt; it’s a powerful long range setup on my 11wt Asquith

Aside from the fact that F&F was super easy to work with, and was great over the phone taking my order, the Shadow II is a great rod and it is probably my best fishing related purchase to date. You can put a lot of torque on some nice fish with this thing, it performs well.

So far so good. I've only worn them once but they felt great. I did have to order two pairs though. I found it odd that I own a pair of Crispi Idaho's and wear a size 8.5 so I ordered the same size in the Guide's. They were too small. Had to send them back for a 9. That's my only complaint.

Two major improvements vs my previous floatant holder. This one adjusts to the size of the bottle and it holds it upside down. Might not sound like a lot, but makes a big difference.

This is the ultimate cold weather jacket, the comfort and warmth and quietness with plenty of pockets. and a pocket that goes through to keep your hands warm. Doesn’t get any better

The rod arrived within two days of my order being placed. I've thus far used it only once, but it is everything I would have hoped for. It allows quick casts of a relatively long line in salt water with a single back cast. Quick casts are what hook fish in the salt.

Have bought and fished a couple of Lamson reels before and were very happy with them. The Guru S was no exception. Nice light reel with a great smooth drag. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy another in the future.

Walking around in the cold mountain brooks of vermont with these bad boyz...no issue with slippage, sizing is correct if you follow simms protocol. Burly, subtle, don't get me excited

I’m not specific to any brand of boots. I have tried everything from Kennetreks, Scarpa, Zamberlan, Lowa, Salewa, and even Salomon. You just have to spend the money and find the right boot for you. I think I finally did with the Nevada. It’s not super stiff if that’s what you’re looking for. But if you want a leather mid flex boot this one is worth trying. I liked them so much I bought another pair.

Used this reel for first time yesterday. Very smooth drag. Very attractive reel. I really like the finish, which is not quite as flashy in real life as in photos.

I was lucky enough to contact the shop seeking a replacement pair of wading boots. As luck would have it they had the boots in the right size and the shop manager went out of his way to accommodate a smooth sale and delivery from Oregon to my home in Idaho. Very appreciative of a great transaction through Fins & Fire.

I recently purchased a 4wt TFO rod and Lamson Guru reel from Fin and Fire. I told them the perimeter of my fishing experiences and I was matched with the equipment along with Rio Gold WF4F line. Great combination for my local rivers and the Crooked River. When I arrived in Redmond I got direction to the River and the proper set up. The rod has a great feel and loaded up tight loops and beautiful casts. I fished with a dry fly indicator and trailed with a nymph. The reel was light weight but...

Reel was delivered quickly and set up with all weights installed. Looks beautiful by the way. I easily removed 2 weights as I have a lighter 2 wt rod. The reel functions flawlessly. Great drag too. Haven’t used in any big stream conditions yet but I know it’ll perform well

Bought the reel to use on bonefish on South Andros Island. Been very happy with the purchase. I would highly recommend it. No reason to spend a thousand dollars when the Redington Grande will do the job as well. The reel was shipped to me super fast and at a good price. Very satisfied all around.

Another five star review for Cris and crew of Fin and fire. Had an issue with a different rod and they made it correct in a very timely manner. Can’t recommend these guys enough.

This workstation is a great add on! I have it attached to my Patagonia waterproof backpack for extra storage but I like that it removes easy to attach to your waders. It is laid out well with lots of little accessories and holds more than you would except which is great too. You could use this for a multitude of things and could really attach to any backpack.

The Abel SDS is the best of the best. The drag is great. The looks are top notch. The handle grip has good feel. These things are indestructible. This is my second sds. I have a 7 in addition to this 9. But here's the rub - they cost a small fortune and spare spools cost nearly as much as a whole reel, which I just don't understand. I bought them because I figure they'll last me for life and I fish often. But this is not the reel to buy if you're in the once in a while crowd.

Very happy with my bag. It should take care of my needs of being small enough to be a carry on bag and also large enough to cover my 2- week trip.

Despite the low cost this is a great fly rod. I have 4 5wt rods, ECHO, Orvis , Sage etc. It stands up to all of them and is a dream to cast. I bought one for my wife last year its now her go to .

Love this hat, it likes to be worn fairly flat on me. The colors are cool and since I am not only a fly fisherman, but also a chef, the all mesh, fish motif, and good looks work well for me. PS I’m a 7 5/8 and this fits fine, witch isn’t true of all “one size hits all” hats on me.

My experience with purchasing the Orvis Mirage IV spool from Fin & Fire Fly Shop was top-rate. I called, a gentleman who spoke clear English promptly answered the phone, promptly checked their inventory, and told me if I ordered the spool it would be shipped that afternoon. I received the spool in 3 days. I had previously tried to order the spool from Orvis but was going to be early September before it would be available.

Long time sage owner and fan, it is primarily my small rainbow/ arctic grayling rod up here in alaska. Not something I would recommend to a beginner as it is a fairly fast action but overall a great rod for my needs. Plenty of backbone to fight some wind as long as you throw tight loops. Overall a very nice package!

We had one of the best days of guiding I've ever experienced with Dylan. The shop was organized, easy to talk to, willing to accommodate our schedule and thorough in their preparation--but of course, the river is where it really counts, and Fin and Fire nailed it. We were in fish immediately on the Lower Deschutes and even thought I slightly mistimed the salmon fly hatch with the date I chose, and with cooler than hoped for conditions, we still had a wonderful day, all day long. I would highly r...

Just received my first pair of insulated Crisipi's. Needed something new for a late season Elk hunt and also looking for another Minnesota deer stand boot. I have worn these only twice on long walks with my dogs with no issues, they didn't even fell like they needed to be broke in. Very happy so far, will see how warm they are in a couple months (it's 86 degrees as I write this). Thanks Fin & Fire. Regards, TR

Finally got a boot one size larger and with the boa laces, can’t believe I waited so long. These boots are great, easy on and off plus no worries about laces loosening up while in the water. Well worth it, highly recommend. Thought about the Korkers but decided to go with solid bottoms to ensure good footing while navigating streams.

I have owned several knives from across the market from expensive to cheap and this is by far my favorite EDC Knife. Light in hand but perfectly sized to not feel burdensome in your pocket. Great aesthetics. Keeps edge well. What else could you ask for in a blade?

I have a G Loomis IMX-Pro 4 wt 1111-4. I casted my buddy’s 5 wt and there was a big difference between the 2 rods. I truly believe my 5 wt will catch me a summer steelhead this year. My 5 wt compared to my buddy’s is lighter in weight. The rod is solid toward the handle and really sends out my Scandi line. Beautiful finish. I have paired this rod with a Danielsson Original 2W. Perfectly balanced.

Spey rods are made for rivers or at least moving water. (Ie tidal movement). I took my 4 wt 1111-4 IMX-Pro combined with an Danielsson Original 2W reel out on a skiff in San Diego Bay, CA and worked the tidal movement. First time in a boat of any kind with the Skagit set up. I had an intermediate OPST head combined with the 10 ft sink tip. Took a bit but the casting from the skiff worked fine. I was able to get some nice swings from the boat. The fishing was a bit slow but I was able to hook up ...

One of the only range finder pouches that had the functionality I am looking for and also can be mounted to multiple platforms. I can mount this to straps, molle, bungies, the whole 9 yards. Most are only built to mount to their specific platforms.

I found the Hareline Dubbin Fly Tying Kit to be a great way to get started in fly tying. Straightforward instructions on how to use fly tying tools, easy to follow instructions on tying techniques for 20 different fly patterns and all the required materials gave me experience in all the basics. I've also used the kit materials to tie additional patterns. And I've already landed some fish using these flies!

This is my new salmon line for the saltwater in the Sound. I have not landed a fish yet but I’m looking forward to it hopefully sooner than later. This 10wt line is being used on my 7wt switch rod for overhead casting and it wasted very well.
