I didn’t see a weight max for this product but took a chance on it. I haven’t used it but it looks very solidly made, good quality. Update: this thing is AMAZING, I love it. I’ve had two spine surgeries, a year and 18 Mo ago, so gardening is a major challenge. This is the tool that makes it possible. Also re: weight, I am 230 and find this very solid!

I've had this out 3 different times for a total of about 6 hours of use. My only regret about getting this was that I didn't come across it sooner. It goes through saplings easy as slicing a piece of cake. I've yet to sharpen it....being careful to not run it in the dirt, just like my chainsaws. When it will come time to sharpen it, I'll use a round file just like I use on my chainsaws. Yes, I would recommend this item to someone else.
