The sci-fi stories make the lessons more fun. The kit includes a lot of parts and I had to buy a much larger tool box to store them more efficiently. Having access to the other courses is a huge bonus. Also, reading an introductory book on the programing language to suppliment the course is a nice thing to do to provide more details than the videos can, since the videos are rather fast paced. I'll be designing my own circuits soon.

So far so good. I stepped carefully, as my iMac is relatively old (OS High Sierra), therefore installed legacy IDE. Everything connected well. Figured out how to get onboard LED to blink - even played with settings to change blink rate. Haven't ventured on to the next section yet, and still getting used to all the components and options. Been a while since I've done any programming. Definitely more fun to not only program, but to have something tangible blink or move or do something.

We haven't used it yet as it's for a Christmas gift for our son, but our last kit which was the lost in space we all really enjoyed. It opened our eyes to lots of other things that we had always been curious about. We saw the farm one and definitely had to get it for him as we enjoy farming from a long family line of farmers. My 11 year old likes the various lessons and has even found computer based software with the components the can use to explore what he is learning and apply it using a different programming language. Iām 43 and have enjoyed electronics kits since I was a kid. I really like how the story adds an element of adventure to what is an admittedly dry hobby.

still haven't had a chance to do anything with it.. had finals and graduation projects since I've gotten it.. will rereview later. giving it 5 stars because the service I received when my order had problems was outstanding I was missing my hero board the support team answered me I believe it was a Saturday and I had it by Monday. some of the sensors have bent pins I'm sure that they will be fine but if not I am confident that I didn't waste my money

I had an Arduino Nono ble I had been tinkering with before so I was familiar with the IDE and laptop connections. I wanted something to show my grandson. Being a firmware designer and having a two year degree in electronics I can navigate the courses.(I have test equipment to sort out any details) There is a lot stuff operating in the background that is not explained, but for the price I think what you're offering is worth it.

Although I didn't buy it for this purpose this would be a great project for a young kid! Or another one as I am using it my daughter is 17 and we are building a LED curtain that will be able to address any light in a thousand and this kit is part of what's going to help me do it. The holes drilled in the base are larger than needed for the screws provided. By more of a problem is the the plastic washers provided as standoffs were to small and left to much of the screw coming thru the base for the provided feet to be of use. As shown in the picture I used parts of a screw anchor to make larger standoffs. Maybe the concept was to have the screws come thru from the bottom of the base but that puts the nuts on the PC board which is not a good look or desirable.

It helps a bit to have a little background knowledge of computer science but this is a fantastic way to get into building circuits. My daughter loves the story and the 'cute little robot guy'. Wonderful tool for learning circuitry, I've already recommended it to my sister for her homeschooled kids.
