I had done several of the story courses before there was a Crafting Table, so it was nice just to review the arduino stuff we are supposed to be learning. I'm going to tackle the servo arm project. I've had it for a while but couldn't get through the instructions on You Tube. It would be nice to have instruction sheets and diagrams, but I'll give it one more try before I jump into the 2nd month course.

I love the Hero board. Its basically an Uno, it uses the Uno libraries and has pretty much the same functions. I got a great deal on the kit and I couldn't pass it up. It was well packaged and well presented. The tutorials are great for beginners. Get the kit, it's worth the money and you'll really learn how to make your ideas come alive. Electronics is an extremely rewarding hobby.

I love the storyline adventure approach. Even though I may have blinked an led hundreds of times, the necessity of "lighting up the place" through an imaginative storyline made it worthwhile to wire it up and do it again, as if "for the first time." As a 52 year old who has loved playing with electronic circuits since around 7, it made me feel like a kid again. I've enjoyed working through the lessons and lighting up Cogsworth City again! I give it two thumbs up.

I'm using microcontrollers to partially automate functions on an exoskeleton I'm building. My first project after starting Crafting Table Academy was to control some LEDs on my chest armor. The academy is a great intro to the programming/coding for projects. Plus all the tools and materials they provide and additional courses makes the cost super worth it and I actually think it seems almost too low. I'm really enjoying it.

Well I didn't have an 8+ to help me, but I enjoyed the challenge at 75. It doesn't end after the construction, I'm still familiarizing myself with the Arduino IDE, hoping to use this IOT house to use VS 2022 later. The experienced examples are quite good with coding samples, only found one mismatch with examples using the servo to open the Window and the door. This having issues with my voice recognition and my LED Strip lights.

I started with a demo program that shows BMP files on the display. I thought this would make a good display for a memory box that I can give to my daughter for her birthday. It works great except: The SD card is limited to SDXC cards, not SDHC. Also, the card must be formatted as FAT32. Finally it does not appear able to handle BMP files that are not 8.3 formatted.
