I hope to handle this review with great care because I do not want to give any impression of criticism (that's why I've given 5 stars), but as a consumer I like to make a well informed decision and it appears that "Kala" do not provide internal measurements which is very important info. These polyfoam cases are by far better than a gig bag for protection while still being very light. This little practice amp is brilliant, I have it plugged into my Flight solid body and it produces heaps of volume for practice. It is so compact it sits on the lip of my music stand without intruding on my music. You could use it in a smallish venue but electric acoustic works best with this. This review is long overdue. But now that I have a Flight Tiny6 amp I can really get down and make some noise. I'm off grid and live in a house truck. So fitting in my larger and more energy demanding amps limited my time on my Black Beauty. But no longer. Wahoo. Rock on!!! Just tuned and let rip on the latest member of my Kala family. Wahoo. It reminds me of a 12 string guitar. I was a bit uncertain about getting it as my other Kalas all have pickups. I already have a Kala Soprano and UBass. This is my first Tenor and I love the larger and longer fingerboard. It has a lovely warm and mellow tone. When I saw it was made of blackwood I just had to have it as I have these beautiful trees on my King Island property. Thank you to Chris for the extras - restringing to low G and a strap. Love these strings! I previously tried a wound low G on a concert and i didn't like it. I was keen to try out the worth brown Low G on a tenor (Ohana TK-10). I think it's a vast improvement on the aquilas the uke came with. I'm still getting used to the low G sound but in most cases strumming and picking it sounds fantastic. Very handy addition to help when playing in a group, especially when there are other instruments which can drown you out. It is very transportable and easy to use and doesn't cost a fortune. When I am at home I use it in preference to my Spark amp because it is so easy to use. I use it sometimes with a lead or a bluetooth Swiff Audio WS-50 transmitter and receiver. I regularly play in a coffee shop and when indoors I don't us a PA. My uke has a Fishman pickup in it and this amp produces a very natural sound and the volume is more than enough for the small room. I am really happy with this product.

I love this uke. Its the second one of this model I have had. Its lightweight and for a uke its loud. I put a pickup in it. I also changed the bass string for a guitar sting, Deaddario PB022 the reason the wrap wears thru very quickly and for the rest Aquila Reds.

It's the first time for my restringing but, thanks to video assistance plus the enclosed stringing 'tips' (which was much appreciated), I did it!! I like the clear sound and the feel of the Aquila Red Series. The A-string of the first set I bought broke sooner than most strings, and the E-string of the new set looks to have a bit of a bump which may be a weakness. We’ll see! The UTC service is excellent.

Strings are very bright, and settled in very quickly. Love the sound fitted to the bigger bodied baritone. Loosened the A string after playing for a while, but all strings hold their tune quite well now.
