Whilst they took a long time to settle in, the sound is really nice mated with the Tasmanian Blackwood used for the project. The Ukulele in the picture is one I made for a friend Called Mike, this time I used the clear fluorocarbon, and the sound is also bright but with the low G a balanced sound is produced. One of my beginner’s ukes developed a crack (heat related). What a great excuse to try out the Flight TUC-35 Black Travel Concert Uke. With its ABS body and neck, it is tough and looks cool. It also sounds great and plays well. I mainly bought it because it is resistant to changes in climate conditions, and is easy to clean and maintain. This is the first time I have used the Worth Clear strings. I have used the browns before and was very happy with them. I love the clears they have the sound and tone I have been looking for although at first, until they settled in, the low G sounded a bit 'off'. Reviews of the Ohana SK-39 sounded positive, Ukulele Trading Co price was right, so I’m now a delighted owner. It seems well-made, looks good and has a great voice! Amazing really. I find the tuning heads a little notchy, difficult to make fine adjustments but they can be changed if they annoy me too much. Now the strings have settled it isn’t such a big issue. I’m very happy with this little beauty!

I have just a week ago replaced the original Aquilla strings on my OHANA TK250GCE with Worth BT-LG Browns & now they have settled in I beleive intonation is better & sound is much warmer. I have used Worth clear in the past on my Anuenue Lani 3 & I have just ordered a set of Fat LG Browns for my Anuenue Koa Bird to replace the Blackwater strings.
