I went for the brown Worth strings according to reviews and C.C. confirmed it with his recommendation that they suit a laminated top (I have fitted them to a tenor). True they are not as 'bright', but I wanted the mellower sound. It is not my place or intention to bag any other strings ("Horses for courses"), but the experience we had with the Aquila Reds was not a pleasant one, they were never right, they didn't seem to want to settle in and the intonation was out though I improved it a little...

Just done my second restring and immediately ordered more. These strings are light and bright, easy on the fingers, replacing 2 original wound strings. They have a uniform volume unlike the previous 2 wound and 2 nylon strings. As these strings are threaded through the bridge on my Flight ukulele, I used a bead on the B and E strings.

I'm a big fan of Worth Strings, they are great quality & always deliver a consistant clear tone. I'm currently experimenting with the Worth C-LG Low-G string as a 3rd string (see photo) in a dGBE tuned Tenor Ukulele (17" Scale length) it seems to work quite well for tension & tone, although I may even go up in density another step to the Worth C-LGHD which will fit the dGBE tuning just about perfectly. 🎵

Unlike most strings that break or fray, these worth strings just keep on giving, however, sadly it is time (after about 3 years) for me to restring my old faithful Kala with my newly purchased packet of BB63's. The strings arrived very quickly. It was my first time changing strings with a tie block, and the included pamphlet made it easier. They're almost stretched enough to hold their tuning, and these are a lot easier to play than the nylon strings previously fitted to my Kala Archtop. I would thoroughly recommend Worth strings.

Great little uke. Not what im used to the body is smaller than my lanakai tenor ukulele but the fret board is the right size. Its plasticy to touch.....but sounds surprisingly good!!! I bought Ware low g strings at the same time but havent put them on yet as the strings supplied on the instrument were pretty nice quality too. Im taking mine on a cruise and i gotta say the body and neck seem pretty tough which is less worry than a wooden uke. For travel this is a good uke that punches above it...

Love the worth strings, I've changed my three Ohana ukuleles over from Aquila to Worth. I can get a clear and smooth sound from the Worth strings whereas I found the aquilas harsher and more percussive. On my concert it's a slightly fiddly re-string on the C and E strings as there is not much leftover string to work with. But it's worth it to get the uke sounding like this.
