We are very happy with the Birdie's bed. It was very easy to assemble. We filled it with our mix within one afternoon. Planted the whole bed with different lettuces and within 2 weeks we were eating our own home grown salad greens. 2 1/2 months later we are still eating from that one planting. I love the large bottom hole that allows plug removal with less root damage. If you sold the 6-cells in a package of 6 that included a bottom tray with a raised platform for a wicking mat so the cells were self-watering for days, you'd have my ideal seedling setup.

This Birdie's Bed is just the perfect size! With the tall, 4 foot by 3 foot, we were able to add it right in a section of the garden that is particularly sunny. It works right next to our round beds. It's super sturdy, goes up really quickly, and allows us to garden without stooping.

This wide, deep bed gave me the opportunity to create a really healthy growing opportunity for three Hansa Rugosa roses in my mountain rose garden. With hardware cloth under the bed, the condominium complex of four legged critters under that area can't get to these roses. A big issue here. All my roses are in containers. The Epic seed starting cells are amazing! I have lost several of my old cells/pots due to the heat in my greenhouse. I’ve added a picture of this to my post. The cells I have used from a local garden center are difficult to clean, they crack/tear and they MELT. My Epic cells have been a game changer. I have spent so much money at my local garden center purchasing trays and pots for seed starting. Every year the same thing happens. More than 50% of my trays crack and moving seeds outdoors to harden them off has been a perilous experience. This year alone I lost six trays of seedlings because of how unstable my old trays were and everything flipped out. I'll admit I was concerned about having a bag of old food and worms inside my house. Well, I set it up in my basement according to the instructions, and added worms and some food scraps. I have to say after the first 2 weeks it's working as advertised, and no odors. Quality construction, and is bigger than I expected. It will be a great way to compost food scraps, and prepare for my garden over the winter. Highly recommend!

I’m certified as a Master Composter in Texas…have 9 compost bins/bays and 2 solar digesters. But, because I can never make enough compost for my garden and perennial beds, I was interested in adding bokashi to to my arsenal…and in only 8 days, I’ve got an enough bokashi liquid to dilute and use as plant food. I’m really pleased so far! The container is only half full and I’m looking forward to adding the fermented organic material to garden beds in a month or so.

I bought 2 of these Tall Birdies 6-in one beds and I really love them. They are just the right height and are very sturdy. The assembly didn't take very long despite the many tiny screws. I placed them on a base of pea gravel atop cardboard and filled them with small sticks, compost, raised bed mix, shredded leaves, and topsoil - lasagna style. I look forward to see how my tomatoes and peppers do this summer with the deep soil that will retain moisture well in hot, Texas summers.
