We're first-time gardeners and absolutely loving our Birdies beds. Assembly was a snap and lots of fun (cut the protective strip a little long, it will shrink a bit in the sun/heat). The working height is great for tired old backs or otherwise. Add a kneeler and you're in business. I loved how easy they were to put together! I had to insert the many bolts and hand tighten them first, then had my Son come by and drill them in tighter. It was easy, fast and FUN! I have 4 Of the Beds in Mist Green. (2 Round and 1 Tall 6 in 1 and 1 Regular 6 in 1). I built them up with Hugelkultur and love the ideas from both Epic Gardening and Self Sufficient Me. we will be building out our new beds after Christmas. Still healing from shoulder surgery and really looking forward to rebuilding my extensive raised beds. 40 in total and the cedar is rotting after 15 years so these new beds are a Godsend. This is the perfect raised bed for narrow spaces. I have narrow strip of dirt around my property. It is hard to find anything to fit in the 20 inch width. I got one last November as a test. Grew epic lettuces in the winter and a bumper crop of cucumbers in the summer. Just got 2 more to make use of the whole length of narrow land. I got my order yesterday. I put it all together today. I have two of the taller beds I bought a few years ago. 1] the color is the same. Years in the Texas sun and it all retains that good look 2] assembly was much easier. The videos help. Using a cordless drill helped ( I did not last time) 3] The new internal support is MUCH, MUCH better.
