I was intimidated to try this product--it's expensive and a little different. But it turned out to be fairly easy to work with (read their tips!) and my worn deck looks amazing now. Looking forward to using our deck for many years to come.

Applied to 7 month old pressure treated pine that was ready to receive the sealant. Looks great with black rails and red brick house. Only time will tell if the sealing properties last long and if recasts really don’t require sanding before applying. Hope I get 4-5 years out of an uncovered deck.

This sugar maple stain goes on so smooth. Easy cleanup and beautiful rich color. We arent do e yet so im ordering more. Very happy how this product looks on this pine porch ceiling.

I prepared the raw, 10 month aged pressure treated pine deck with your deck cleaner. After drying a day, the wood drank in the C2 Guard very well. I found a liberal wash of the stain could be left to sit 5 - 10 minutes before brushing out to provide the most saturation, then , while still damp, a repeat coat would still get absorbed. And again, the next day, a third coat blended in as the final coat. Wonderful product to apply!

The photo does not do this paint justice!! The walls in this photo have not been painted yet to show how ugly and yellow they were compared to the freshly painted and beautiful C2 ceiling paint. The ceiling was that same ugly yellow color! Awful. With two coats this ceiling paint took all of that hideous past away. It is bright and wonderfully flat. Highly recommend!

This color makes me so happy! It is more soft pink in real life. The photo washes it out. This was the exact image I had in mind for this accent wall and this C2 color delivered!
Also, I loved the viscosity of paint. I didn’t have to really babysit any of the brush work on the trim to keep it from dripping or pooling.

This type of product is hard to review without using it for the life of the product. It's longevity and performance are really 90% of the equation.
Having said that it looks great, and applied very easily. One thing that I don't think is stated clearly in the instructions is the frequency you should be mixing the product, there is a very noticeable difference between where I stated and ended in a given gallon (the end being much darker)

The lighting in our basement is…not great…to say the least.
This color is warm and earthy and I love it! I was looking for a cozy green for our added wall accent and this is it. All the C2 paints we have used have excellent coverage, great stain blocker, we have washed off unwanted markings without a problem, and they dry beautiful!

Lighting, not great. I tried to capture a photo of this color next to very bright white trim and ceiling.
We didn’t want stark white or off white walls (looks very yellow in our low light basement). We have “Agreeable Grey” on our upstairs walls and I feel like it was a little too on the beige side for this area.

It's easy to apply and refreshes the deck immediately! Prepping the deck with a proper cleaning, and using a brightener to help condition the wood was the hardest part. Once that was complete I applied the stain with a spray pump and helped spread the stain evenly using a deck brush.

Paint was so much easier to work with and was very even. It doesn’t get sticky like oil based paint and spreads so much more evenly. I will never use any other type of paint now having used C2 paint. I threw my other cans of paint away. At first I thought I would need to put on another coat, but when it dried it was perfect. It drys faster than oil based regular paint and Inused leads paint.

This was my first experience with C2 and doing a banister project. The feel and look of the paint is stunning. A high quality paint for any project. The spindles use their Shimmer color, which gives the stairs a rich, two tone look. The paint dried quickly and gave off little VOC. The consistency of Espionage is dense, so keep that in mind if ordering it for cabinet/trim.

Building a playset using cedar wood. The color really shines out without being too over bearing. I love how it turned out. It was not what I was expecting. I really urge customers to try out the test stains before making a commitment as I didn’t use the planned color I chose off online.

I was not able to finish the entire main deck yesterday, and woke up to rain this morning… 😑
As you can see in the picture, which section was not sealed as it is lighter than the rest of the deck – which has raindrops on top of the sealed sections, keeping the rain/moisture out like it’s supposed to.

John Thorman was definitely a great resource in how to paint. The C-2 paint Is fabulousl and waiting for the 30 day curing process. A beautiful sheen when completed. The only drawback is as you're cutting in the paint wants to dry on your brush to quickly.

I absolutely loved our experience with C2 Guard for wood we used it to Stain our deck. It was so easy and fast and we love the finished outcome. We used the color sugar maple. My only complaint is that it came out a lot darker than I thought, but it still looks beautiful. Shipping was a breeze and it got to us in less than a week. It seems to be repelling water perfectly. I can’t wait to see how it holds up over the years.

We are nearing our first-year in our newly built home here in the PNW. I built two decks that I stained with a recommended product but within six months it was flaking off. I did not penetrate the cedar deck boards very well. Just recently I was able to finish off the front deck with new cedar steps so this was the time to use the correct/best stain available. The Portuguese Dawn purple paint came out so pretty I did 3 coats because it was being painted over blue walls. The other picture is the buttercream. Came out great! The whole room was a dark great so I also painted 3 coats on 3 walls for contrast and it really made the room pop. The c2 paint was awesome. Loved how both rooms came out.

Well worth the time and effort. The advice I received from C2 with the primer was spot on and the color of the paint with the new hardware made a 20+ year old distressed cabinet look just perfect. The marshland color is almost exactly a color used in the painting above it. Truly complements the entire visual.
Also, the depth of pigments is C2 is far superior to other American brands as well as European and British - all of which I have tried.

I am a 74 yr old woman & I chose this Stain because I could spray it on and it said that I will never have to Strip OR Sand again!!.
This Stain is as thin as water, which makes it so easy to stir.
I used it in a regular "weed sprayer".

We really love this paint! Raku instantly made our bedroom feel instantly feel more dramatic and cozy. The paint was so easy to work with too. We did two coats to cover the previous light blue. The depth of color is just fantastic. Highly recommend this color if you want a really deep rich red.

I ordered 4 gallons of Tupelo Honey for this project. Application was really easy - brush on first and then spray wet. I'm impressed the way water now beads up and does not soak in as before. The color of the first 4 gallons was consistent with each can. I had to order 2 additional quarts to finish the project. C2 guard for wood was very easy to apply and makes my deck look really good. My deck was sanded down as well as I could get it but the C2 guard might be even better on a new build. The only draw back was that I got a few splatters on my cinder blocks and patio stones but it shouldn't be too bad to clean up.

Painted all wood trim and doors with C2 satin Architectural White in 2014. Only two doors and some trim that the dog decided to chew needed repainting 11 years later. Tried this new product and the sheen on it is stunning. I tried to catch it in the pics. I mean really really beautiful. Very nice color and a great formula paint! I was covering up a very splotchy paint job in a deep red color, and a coat of wallboard primer + two coats of studio level paint did the trick on most walls! There were some spots that needed a little extra touching up, but I attribute that more to the drastic color change I was making and my own novice painting skills than paint quality. This stuff is thick and pigmented! I’ll definitely be back for more when I start my next project : )

I would say this color is more blue that what the online picture and sample card look. However, it is still stunning.
I also think it looks more blue because of the lighting, or lack of bright light, in the stairs going down to the basement. If this was painted in a full sun room, it would probably appear lighter.
Either way, I still give it 5 stars because I wanted light blue walls and this delivered. C2 paints are fantastic and with 2 coats, look absolutely beautiful with great coverage.

Our walls have some imperfections in it that we weren't able to fully deal with, but the lighter color of the paint with the eggshell finish has gone a long way to hide most of them outside of direct sunlight. Outstanding product. Damp on Wet worked great. It dried quickly and about 2/3 hours after I was done it proceeded to rain all afternoon and my redwood deck just had water standing and not soaking in. So impressed and how easy and safe it was to apply. No odors, no nasty chemicals. I applied it all in shorts and flipflops and didn't think twice about it. My 200 sq ft deck is protected. So glad I learned about this product. Worth every penny!!

Product application was straightforward however applying to mahogany wood took more time than cedar to absorb. This meant I needed to wait longer before applying second wet on damp coat. The end results look absolutely beautiful and the C2 Guard Clear did not change the appearance of the wood and dried to a flat finish. Really dig the natural look!
