Harambe System Reviews

As meaningless at it seems, this cork block is incredibly useful. It's another representation of purposeful engineering by Harambe. Durable, hard wearing, functional and the cutouts to hold the bar are brilliant.

Very briefly looked at competitor products before jumping on this. I'm a creature of the barbell through and through. Being a taller guy, I really wanted a longer bar and Harambe is the only one to get that right. Along with the rest of the system with ropes and spacers, you can use pretty much whatever band you want depending on how you want to dial in tension. The whole package is completely over-engineered and I love that. I can retain nuances of barbell movements I want and benefit from char...

As someone who has been working out solely with resistance bands for 2 years, I wanted to find a way to improve the experience. Several users on Reddit talked about how the Harambe T Bar changed their resistance band workouts in a really positive way. Wow, were they right! This bar (and the footplate) totally elevated my workouts. It also made me feel more sturdy while doing certain exercises. I wish I had found this sooner!

Coming from a different band system, the feeling is night and day. I struggled making gains because of lack of progressive overload with other bars. Now I can dial in almost exactly how much tension I want like putting weight on the bar. Speaking of weight on the bar. It feels like pumping iron with increased tension in the low range. Also I feel the actual muscle being worked a lot more. Exercises feel more stable with the independent pulleys. It's a high quality product and it's incredibly fu...

Firstly, the service from Harambe is first class, from ordering through to receipt of the order. I was kept informed of each stage of the order and delivery (to Ireland) was very fast and hassle free. Yes, the items are expensive, even more so if ordering from abroad, but the quality of each item is truly unbeatable. The bar, plate, handles, ropes and block will easily last a lifetime of use and the bands are really the best I have seen anywhere. They are much stonger than any others I have trie...

I started with the T Bar, and after about a year of loving it I decided to try the K Bar. Wow! I'm so impressed with the weight and feel of the bar. I love how it keeps the slings completely away from the arms. I still prefer the T Bar for a few movements, but the K Bar is my favorite for most exercises.

It has the feel of a conventional barbell. I like that you are able to squat with the system. All components are high quality. I especially like the foot plate which provides stability for deadlifts and calf raises. Highly recommended!!!

Excellent bands. I've been using the Serious steel 41" bands for a year and recently tried their 32" bands. The Harambe bands are thicker, and just the perfect size for my 5'9" height. You get one less band than the serious steel sets but that is more than made up for by the thickness and resistance curve of these bands.

I am really enjoying my Harambe System workouts. I’ve been lifting weights pretty consistently for the about 25 years and never would have thought that bands would provide such an amazing workout. What I’ve found interesting is the great pump you get without the lingering joint pains that weights sometimes bring on. I can definitely see myself doing more Harambe workouts in my future.

I first saw the yoga block idea when watching various Harambe videos and immediately saw it's value as both a safety measure and an aid to setting up the bands for various workout options. The Harambe Yoga Block takes things to the next level with the addition of a few dedicated channels which allow the bar to stay exactly where you want it do during set up and between sets. It is a simple yet brilliant idea!!

Glad these were brought back for an additional run. I have the T Bar, K Bar, L Bar, and K handles. If you have one, don’t be afraid to add another. I find that certain exercises feel better or more natural with different bars. I find having multiple also helps with progressive overload since there is different weight/lengths.

I am a fan of old-school training journals and have been writing down the details of my workouts for over 30 years. I usually just use a plain spiral notebook. It is very cool to have a dedicated place in which to track my progress as I explore the many options of using the Harambe System.

I’m not one to normally review things but felt the need to make an exception. Just completed my first Harambe L work out (x3 pull, one set to failure, with a few extras-shrugs, pull aparts, Ferro and drag curls). Here’s my impression. First of all the bar itself. Packaged really well. Not just tossed in a shipping box. It was almost like unpacking a piece of jewelry. You can easily see the pride the manufacturer has in his product. The ropes and rods packaged individually in their o...

I have the X-3 which is great it’s just this is better. It’s the difference between android and IOS. Yes a Samsung phone is great but the iPhone is better. That’s the only way I can describe.

Nice, short bar. I switched over to the T bar exclusively for about a month now. It definitely serves its purpose as a travel bar. There is a different feel to it overall as you would expect, but it gets the job done. I've moved back to the L bar for skull crushers, as I wasn't able to get the feel I wanted on those without using other contraptions that I normally don't like to do. The build is every bit as good as the other products in the overall system. The end result is that I will use it ...

I doubt I could tell the difference between these blems I received with my K system vs brand new if they were both right in front of me. Really do appreciate that discount though, and love being able to change how I use my bands in addition to the bar now. The whole Harambe system is amazing to work out with - from someone who shied away from bands out of fear of injuring myself due to cheap, poorly made tension equipment. For dipping my toes into resistance band training I wanted the best ...

I always wanted to invest in a squat rack but unfortunately I don’t have the space for a squat rack. I was gonna originally gonna pull the trigger and purchase an X3, but after seeing the add for the harambe system I decided to purchase that instead. So far I love the system, I’m happy I can finally incorporate heavy squats and deadlifts into my workouts now. If you’re someone who is on a budget looking to save space with equipment, then harambe is the way to go.

This thing is amazing! Such an upgrade from previous footplates I have used. The UHMW material feels amazing on the feet and the self lubricating properties of it are easy on the bands and make lifts so smooth. Cross channels open up so much versatility for movements including lying down bench which is a game changer. While expensive, the quality is incredible and worth every penny. Combine that with the amazing service of Harambe and Khalid and you can’t go wrong buying this footplate. Highly r...

I have been a professional Strength and Conditioning coach for over thirty years. I have tried just about every tool that has come along and the Harambe System is by far the best Band-Based strength system I have ever used. The custom Cork Block is a fantastic edition to my Harambe training. It is such a simple idea, but it makes training with the Harambe System both safer and more efficient. I highly recommend that you pick one of these up A.S.A.P.

I’m so glad that Harambe came out with the orange band! It should help me progress on certain exercises like overhead press where adding yellow to white is just a bit much. Thanks again Harambe team! I’m such a fan of all of your products.

Having used the competitor’s product, I have to say this is the definitive product! It may not be as quick to put a band on it (by like 4 seconds!), but for the safety and smoothness, it’s my choice bar to use!

I absolutely LOVE these bands. I have various other latex bands, and I didn't think these would be that much different, but they are! There's something very smooth and even about the strength curve that is extremely satisfying, and I love that they are heavier and harder to stretch out. They have exceeded my expectations for sure!

The Arm Bar is fantastic. It allows you to hit your muscles from a different angle. And not just curls but chest press, shoulder press, and even bent-over rowing.

I was lucky enough to win one of these ahead of the official release. If I hadn’t won one I would definitely be purchasing one on day one. It’s very nice for a couple of uses. If you’re someone who does your chest press laying on the board, this adds just enough cushion to make it more comfortable to perform and makes it feel a little closer to a weight lifting bench. Also, if you’re a user that has hardwood/laminate flooring that is slick, you can stick it underneath the board when performi...

Even more useful than I expected! I bought it to protect my feet during deadlifts and calf raises, but it's just as useful for raising the platform during bench press - I feel much more activation in the chest now. Before, bench felt like more of a tricep exercise.

I don't see how it can get any better than this, for resistance bands. I've tried all handles currently on the market, both those meant for and those not meant for resistance training, and nothing comes close to being as great as these.

I purchased the K bundle …. top notch quality. I love everything about the system, is very unique. I do wish there was a carry case for everything except the floor board . It would be very compact and user friendly. Could use a band sleeve when traveling…. Which could also easily store in a more compact case. I will definitely order more items in the near future

I purchased the k-bar along with the necessary sling and rope accessories. Everything is super well made and feels even over built(not a bad thing). I have tried different bars and nothing that I’ve come across compares. The feeling of movement and ease of use is worth the price. If you’re on the fence….buy it. I should have got the harambe system first instead of trying cheaper less effective products.

This foot plate is a game changer. It is a must have for your resistance band training. Idk how but it feels as if the bottom of plate has like a slick finish that makes bands move more freely while exercising. Yet at the same time the top has grip even while exercising barefoot. The price definitely reflects the quality of this product. Very happy with purchase.

I wanted to wait a couple weeks before writing this review. The Harambe is something I've been fantasizing about buying for a couple years now. I've gone back and forth between this and other systems, but the old adage "buy nice, don't buy twice" rang in my mind. I pulled the trigger on the K bundle with the blue band added on top. Now I've been lifting for over 10 years and have tried many different modalities of training and I am so happy to report that this system is top to bottom excellent....

Keeps my bands fresh and from getting powdery or chalky. All of Harambe Systems products are top notch, and the Harambe Butter is no different. A little goes a long way.

My journey initially began with the X3 bar and the Book: ‘Weight Training is a Waste of Time’ by John Jaquish. I was immediately drawn to the benefits of resistance band training. In addition to the portability and how much time it saves. I love the K-Bundle. The width of the bar is perfect. You can do a full body workout paired with the Harambe App which has improved tremendously over the past few weeks. Now the app stores your equipment info so you don’t have to waste time logging it in during...

I had to downsize significantly and looked at a lot of other options before stumbling on the Harambe System. I like how portable it is and it doesn't rely on digital technology to function, so I can use it anytime, anywhere. I'm still getting used to resistance band-based strength training, but the equipment is high quality and the videos are helpful in figuring out how to use everything. I've had a positive experience overall as well as with customer service and the Facebook community.

I am impressed with the Harambe bag. You can tell there was a lot of thought put into the design of the bag. With the many different compartments, the backpack straps used to easily transport and even a hip belt for better stability this bag allows you to transport the harambe system anywhere with you. The bag houses everything; the bands, cork block, base plate, and even a compartment for the bar with room to spare. Khalid did an awesome job with these bags.

The plate is an excellent piece of equipment to add to your Harambe collection. I have two boards from other band companies and this is by far the best one. Especially compared to the metal one from another company. Thanks for the excellent product!

The bar is of excellent quality and the extra length is necessary in my opinion for comfortable range of motion. The plate is light but sturdy with zero sharp edges. The bands seem to be very high quality. The amount of movements and constant tension through range of motion make this an awesome piece of kit. If the bands hold up overtime, I will be well pleased with this as an investment. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone with joint injuries, lack of spa...

These 38" Harambe bands make the system complete! I bought the K-bar bundle last fall when only the 41" Serious Steel bands were included. My workouts were "good," but I always looked for more. Even with the spacers, the tension in the 41" bands did not feel right. With the 38" bands, it feels like a whole new system. The tension starts sooner and gets harder. I would recommend these bands to anyone using a bar/plate system who wants to increase the value of their system. and get a better wo...

So far I really like these bands. I use 32" and usually 41" for the press and squat but now I use the 38" and it is so much better!!! The only thing I really wish is that Khaild would sell the bands individually as I would love to have a second set of Orange and White as those are the ones i am using.

Love these bands. 38” are the perfect length for my size on the chest press and deadlift. Plenty of resistance but when I want to go really heavy, the 2 lighter bands are perfect for stacking.
