These conditioning belts are great for satin finishing blades. The blade shown was pretty beat up after some performance testing, but the sequence of coarse-medium-fine conditioning belts brought it back nicely. Having used these on several different styles of knife, I think I probably want to add the super-fine grit to my arsenal. Switches to red label after being very disappointed in the other highly advertised belts belts…. My biggest complaint with the other company has been the edges holding up and how fast the grit became unusable. This is not the case with red label abrasives. I have just started making knives and was having a hard time getting good grinds. Just when I was about to give up I thought I’d try new higher quality belts. I got a variety pack of the coarse ceramic belts from Amazon and they immediately improved my grinds by removing more steel faster. My first experience with Red Label abrasives was with the 2"x72" fine grit ceramic belts ,and they are awesome! I just bought the zirconia coarse belts and they are phenomenal! I went with the zirconia to save a little money over the ceramic belts and also because I don't think my grinding style takes full advantage of the ceramic belts anyway.

The wet/dry sandpaper I've been buying from Red Label is a superior product. Compared to other products, it lasts longer, cuts more effectively for each grit and tends not to load up as quickly. This sand paper has taken days off of my projects and enabled me to achieve better results partly because I'm less likely to give up with 'good enough' when I can see the results of my effort materialize more quickly than with other comparable products. I am a fan.

I had my skepticism about these belts but oh my does this save on hand sanding. Cuts down the low grits so you can hand sand only in the finer grits. Very nice!
