I have a Ken Onion Work Sharp that uses these 1x18" belts. Some assorted belt packs are sold in different grits for sharpening. I find the coarse belts are too aggressive in removing metal for knives that have a decent edge. It is my feeling that these 220 grit are just right to start the re-sharpening process. That means I skip 80, 100, and 120 grits that are out there. After the 220, 320,800, and then sometimes 1500. Final passes on a leather honing belt gives an excellent edge. I hav...
