So far the belts are working great. Iused the 36 grit for rough profiling of knife blanks on a 2 x 42 grinder. The ceramic belt makes the metal just disappear. Even with a relatively small grinder, they work very well. Looking forward to progressing through the grits to see how well the finished product turns out. Of course, a lot of that has to do with my skill set or lack of.

In this Amazon world, we like to support direct-to-vendor transactions, but charging separate for delivery makes us crazy. You'll get more sales if you include the delivery in the price and then say "free delivery".
I'd also like you to post (easy and available) REAL measurements about the durability/quality of the abrasives .... ceramic last 45 minutes, zirconia lasts 22 minutes, etc .... Helps us decide what's worth what.

These days I only use red label belts. This knife went through ceramics until 120 grit, then surface conditioning belts. I am very happy with the results.

I have used grinding/sanding belts from several different companies. The problem I have had is that most of the other companies belts were not consistent. When your grinding belts are moving back and forth over 1/4 inch it is difficult to create a decent plunge line. I know I have an inexpensive IBM 72 inch belt grinder so I accepted that it may have been my machine and not the belts... Red Label Belts have proven me wrong! I received a Work Sharp Combo knife sharpener as a gift, but was surprised that the only belt the manufacturer made for it was 100 grit. That would not be fine enough to get a really sharp blade. I found this variety pack of belts from Red label with grits all the way up to 5000. They work great and now the sharpener can reach its potential. Thanks for making a great product.

I’ve been using the silicon carbide abrasive number of years. I use the 1000 grit on a belt sander to do expensive hair cutting shears.
I have bought abrasives from several different companies and I found nothing that even comes close to what I’m getting from Red Label Abrasives.
I recently purchased a leather belt to go on my belt sander. I soaked one side of the leather with some fine machine oil and let it dry. Then I put the cream on it that I got from Red Label, and I’ll let that dry.

I make a lot of small skinner style knives with a round undercut that allows for a shorter overall length and more blade length also. These flexible belts when loosely tightened allows me to polish the inside of this cutout. Not having to use hand tools is a big win for me.
