The treated buffing kit is excellent. It came with every thing I need to bring my knives to a dull semi shine or a “super polished” mirror shine. This kit is fantastic in every way. Much better than using hard muslin to a soft muslin and it brings out a better shine.

These are interesting. produced a very fine steel residue on the edge of a Santoku. Had to water dip a bit more frequently and wipe off, but produced a really nice finish preparing for hand sanding.

Your Ceramic belts are high-quality. Pay a little extra for the best, but save overall due to them not wearing out nearly as quickly. I work with various woods and metals. These belts work great for any materials, at a decent price. By the time a belt clears Canada Customs, and considering the $ exchange rate, one belt costs me about the equivalent of sharpening 2 chef's knives. But with one belt I can sharpen 60 knives. Working on a 1x42 goes through a lot of belts when profiling but I like the ceramic abrasives because they keep cutting even as the grit wears down. A 120 grit becomes a 240 grit so I get a couple of uses from a single belt. Belts are really robust so no issues wet or dry.
