Mostly we deal with aluminum but, from time to time we can be found applying a finish to titanium and…plexiglass! Creates a mirror finish quickly! White compound is superior to green for mirror. Works best on carbon steels for me, super duper wear-resistant stuff will take longer.
The leather belt is EXCELLENT quality. I use this at low speed with very light pressure to deburr/final sharpening step.
If you’re using this to sharpen harder steels, try a high quality diamond emulsion or paste instead of white compound.

I'm a hobby blacksmith who makes the occasional knife, and I make quite a few tomahawks. I use Red Label sanding belts on my bench sander and my band file for a lot of different things -- mostly steel, but some other metals, as well as wood.

I inherited a fine shotgun. A previous owner had scratched their driver's license number on the side of the receiver with a vibrating graver. I used your 2000 grit sandpaper to remove the markings, and reblued the gun.
The sandpaper did a fine job. I was particularly pleased that the paper didn't shed grains of abrasive onto the work surface.

I'd also like you to post (easy and available) REAL measurements about the durability/quality of the abrasives .... ceramic last 45 minutes, zirconia lasts 22 minutes, etc .... Helps us decide what's worth what.

I’ve been using the silicon carbide abrasive number of years. I use the 1000 grit on a belt sander to do expensive hair cutting shears.
I have bought abrasives from several different companies and I found nothing that even comes close to what I’m getting from Red Label Abrasives.
I recently purchased a leather belt to go on my belt sander. I soaked one side of the leather with some fine machine oil and let it dry. Then I put the cream on it that I got from Red Label, and I’ll let that dry.

I received a Work Sharp Combo knife sharpener as a gift, but was surprised that the only belt the manufacturer made for it was 100 grit. That would not be fine enough to get a really sharp blade. I found this variety pack of belts from Red label with grits all the way up to 5000. They work great and now the sharpener can reach its potential. Thanks for making a great product.

I was building my first live edge epoxy table and needed sanding discs up to 5000 grit to finish the epoxy portion. I had a lot of swirl marks in the epoxy that I wanted to remove.
After using these discs, the epoxy turned out better than I thought.
