We use 1-1/2 inch belts. Two inches are to big to fit. You are one of the only companies to make 1-1/2 inch x 72 belts, so I buy from you. Wish you had more of a selection. One of the companies that we used to purchase from would to take a 12 inch x 72 belt of anything that they made and cut 1-1.2 inch strips as long as we bought 8 of each type. We bought a lot of fine grit and polishing cloth from them.

The 220 silicone carbide belts cut fast and smooth. They are a lot better at smoothing knife scales and grinding down pins than the cheap belts that came with my oscillating belt sander. They also appear to generate less heat. Burning of Richlite knife scales is always an issue, but less so with this belt.

The 24" sanding disk with adhesive work great!! I stick it on a dedicated surface and use it to smooth out bearing edges on drum set refurbishing i do. The bearing edge is the top and bottom edge that the drum heads sit on. Basically, I re-cut the edge with my 45 degree router bit and then take the drum and sit it on the sanding pad and twist it back and forth to smooth out the very sharp tip of the edge.

I kiln fired repurposed window glass over artwork that I have sculpted. The glass must have the edges rounded off prior to kiln forming. That's where a quality sanding belt comes in! Yours are reasonably priced with consistent quality. That makes the task quicker and less frustrating.

I used the 2000 grit discs for color sanding a 1973 Mustang new paint job. It quickly and evenly removed the orange peel and did not clog. Everything pass on the panel I’d simply wipe off the disc with a lint free rag and go back to sanding. I’m very pleased with the disc’s performance and longevity.

Creates a mirror finish quickly! White compound is superior to green for mirror. Works best on carbon steels for me, super duper wear-resistant stuff will take longer.
The leather belt is EXCELLENT quality. I use this at low speed with very light pressure to deburr/final sharpening step.
If you’re using this to sharpen harder steels, try a high quality diamond emulsion or paste instead of white compound.

Not sure why, but it seems like there was less heat buildup when using the Prisma versus an equivalent trisact. As the website recommends, I think you can use Prisma for slightly more metal removal then move to trazak to blend it together. I was testing it out on a makoto kurosaki sg2 blade and it did really well to refinish it.

I inherited a fine shotgun. A previous owner had scratched their driver's license number on the side of the receiver with a vibrating graver. I used your 2000 grit sandpaper to remove the markings, and reblued the gun.
The sandpaper did a fine job. I was particularly pleased that the paper didn't shed grains of abrasive onto the work surface.
