I have used grinding/sanding belts from several different companies. The problem I have had is that most of the other companies belts were not consistent. When your grinding belts are moving back and forth over 1/4 inch it is difficult to create a decent plunge line. I kiln fired repurposed window glass over artwork that I have sculpted. The glass must have the edges rounded off prior to kiln forming. That's where a quality sanding belt comes in! Yours are reasonably priced with consistent quality. That makes the task quicker and less frustrating.

The 24" sanding disk with adhesive work great!! I stick it on a dedicated surface and use it to smooth out bearing edges on drum set refurbishing i do. The bearing edge is the top and bottom edge that the drum heads sit on. Basically, I re-cut the edge with my 45 degree router bit and then take the drum and sit it on the sanding pad and twist it back and forth to smooth out the very sharp tip of the edge.

I used the 2000 grit discs for color sanding a 1973 Mustang new paint job. It quickly and evenly removed the orange peel and did not clog. Everything pass on the panel I’d simply wipe off the disc with a lint free rag and go back to sanding. I’m very pleased with the disc’s performance and longevity.

We use 1-1/2 inch belts. Two inches are to big to fit. You are one of the only companies to make 1-1/2 inch x 72 belts, so I buy from you. Wish you had more of a selection. One of the companies that we used to purchase from would to take a 12 inch x 72 belt of anything that they made and cut 1-1.2 inch strips as long as we bought 8 of each type. We bought a lot of fine grit and polishing cloth from them.

Not sure why, but it seems like there was less heat buildup when using the Prisma versus an equivalent trisact. As the website recommends, I think you can use Prisma for slightly more metal removal then move to trazak to blend it together. I was testing it out on a makoto kurosaki sg2 blade and it did really well to refinish it.

So far the belts are working great. Iused the 36 grit for rough profiling of knife blanks on a 2 x 42 grinder. The ceramic belt makes the metal just disappear. Even with a relatively small grinder, they work very well. Looking forward to progressing through the grits to see how well the finished product turns out. Of course, a lot of that has to do with my skill set or lack of.
