Been running a RIPP XL kit for over a year now on a stock 3.6 motor in my 2016 JKU RUBICON. I've been on serious trails in MOAB, AZ, Northern CA and Southern CA and it has helped me move this heavy beast of a JEEP as if it was still in stock trim. I did not like mounting the can on passenger side due to hoses would not reach and the fact to run the hoses across and over. I used a longer bolt to mount bracket to the bracket for air intake tubes next to PCV valve. I would have mounted on driver side fender but I am running striker hood shocks, and the oil can would hit the shocks when closing hood, but happy with the mounting location. It is decent and good product. The Mount in itself is good. BUT!!! #1 the placement is much desired, NOT well thought out. #2 the install directions could be a bit better thought out as well for the inlet hose. #1 as you can see in the picture I fabricated a bracket to raise the can up a bit. I really like the exhaust and the sound is as muscle as a v6 can get. The only issue was the exhaust clamps that were sent with it were obnoxiously too large that even when tightened all the way, it does not squeeze. I’m am being sent new ones so once that’s taken care of I’ll be good to tear up around town!
