A perfect ending to a learning journey in the classroom about the Solar System. Some of the walking had to be done in the garden and up and down the house but nothing can stop you once you are motivated with the reward of the stunning medal winging your way. If you are hesitating, hesitate not more. The solar system medals were the perfect provocation for my students' line of inquiry 'Earth's place in the solar system'. Yes, the students walked every kilometer which met the sports requirement of the curriculum. They LOVED the links to NASA. With pride, they take turns to wear the medals in the classroom and continue to investigate space months after receiving the medals.

Thoroughly enjoyed walking that distance. Have been walking at least 10 km a day for a while now and it has made me release how good it is to walk. And to gain such a wonderful piece of craftsmanship as a reward is a powerful incentive. I have gifted the medal to my son, as he loves anything to do with the Solar System, especially Pluto. It has inspired us to maybe even take up the Solar System challenge!

I found out about the virtual challenge from my friends. Very nice initiative. I chose New York as my first challenge. I did 26M / 42K in 3 days (it would be faster, but I was busy). The medal arrived quickly, well packed. It is very pretty. Now I'm on vacation in NY and I want to repeat the tour in reality.

This triple pack was a great starter for me. The Inca Challenge, Grand Canyon and London. My favourite medal of the 3 was probably London.
However the most Interesting route was The Inca Trail.
The only thing I'm disappointed about is I'd love to sign up for the 7 Wonders of the world and it also has the Inca trail in it.

The Pyramids of Egypt was my very first Virtual Adventure Challenge and I found it kept me motivated to walk daily to get to the next checkpoints and complete the challenge. The checkpoints contained excellent information and photographs about the places being "visited." It was good for my health, fun and educational at the same time!
The virtual badge to display on my Pacer app is nice and the printable certificate looks good. But the real beauty is the medal which is just amazing to look at....
