I was very happy when I received the new motor that it included everything I needed like the replacement bearing and sleeve also the weight already attached. When I put the new bearing in and the sleeve I couldn’t get the shaft all the way in the sleeve. I lacked about 1/4 in but I tightened the plate down thinking it would slip in when the motor was running. I started it up and it seemed fine so I started polishing. It is 100% my fault for not checking it after a few minutes and after a coup...

I have used these laps from 600 grit up to 14 k for a few years now as a commercial cutter. They are super for light facet cutting to prepolish to polish. As they wear in, the polish gets even better, as the grit essentially gets finer. I can go from a slightly worn 600 grit lap directly to polish in most cases, depending on species of course. The nice thing is that they have aggressive polishing properties, so you can actually polish in small facets, and you don't waste time going through a lot...

Cuts fantastic. It’s my first of this style. I usually go with the MK303 style but so far I’m really happy with this one. It took a little break in time. The cuts were a little rough to begin with but since it’s been unstoppable. I’m cutting slabs of lace agate and jaspers and other semi precious stone.
