The gate is of good quality, well-cut tanalised timber, but the fixing nails were poorly positioned and some joints were already coming apart. I used 30mm woodscrews at each joint to reinforce the structure and it is now fine.

All boards were good and straight, a couple a bit thicker than others, and some with green algi like substance around a few knot holes, which will hopefully weather down. Overall a good product . I would buy again. Delivery quick and painless.

Delivery was on time and quality was good. It was a bit damp on arrival but given the weather, that hardly surprising. I would certainly use again- and did as I somewhat underestimated what I needed on the first order.

As well as protecting the top of the feather boards, the capping make a great contrast to finish off the new fence. They were all straight with no splits or damage on arrival. Delivery was as Ruby promised, so overall very pleased.

Arrived earlier than expected, but without the promised pre-alert, so we were out for the day. The carrier left it in plain view of the road, so it's lucky the consignment wasn't stolen. The boards are of good quality, but were very wet. I think they could have been left to dry (or dried) before shipping as it made cutting them very difficult.

Used to repair a very old ‘holey’ shed . Has filled the bill and price better than I could find near Edinburgh after delivery charge added! Should last at least a decade or so to get me to ninety and ready to downsize maybe!

Customer service is great but hiccups in your delivery system. Took three goes at delivery. First - delivery short.. ordered 90 pales 70 delivered. Second - short fall 20 pales driver turned up but Pales not loaded on van.. Third attempt 20 pales delivered. Also 2 fence rails in order damaged but replacement agreed. Generally pleased with products. Will send photo when work completed

Gates are robust and well made, they look really good. My only criticism is that when looking at the gates online and also when I telephoned about them they were described in imperial measurements, but apparently in their workshop they use metric. When the gates arrived they were about two inches short for the gap we had. Checking again we found that they do indeed state that they are made in metric but 180cm is not 6feet, 183cm is, that’s more than two inches over two gates. Ruby Group came u...

Nice wood. Shame it was 6.25 inches and not 6 as advertised (and the size I wanted - at least it wasn't undersized). One piece had a split down the center for 1/4 length. Other than that quite pleased.

The wood is as stated though the carrier delivery was somewhat 3 working days delayed after stating it had been delivered which caused a worry with problems somewhere in their handling. Happy with the product, sales and follow up.

Ordered 30 of these boards to complete a shed project, only 20 delivered , Ruby contacted and their customer service and communication were excellent in resolving the matter. The boards I have used so far have been good , only a couple too warped to use whole.

The boards are lovely, rough sawn and quite rustic which is exactly what I wanted. There were delivery delays, no doubt due to the current restrictions and the initial delivery was ten boards short but this was sorted out quickly by Nikki. I will definitely be using Ruby again!

Good product, except that I was expecting the uprights to be the same distance apart as they were on a previously purchased matching gate. They aren't - they are much further apart. Still it looks OK.

The product was as described and arrived .. just a little damage on the tongue and groove thing looks like in transport but only minimal ....I make security gates usually out of PSA Redwood T and g bevelled or beaded ... And this gives my customer another choice ... Larch treated properly is a perennial outdoor timber very durable and serviceable ... I could supply you with photo of the finished security gates ... I would look to extend my order and network with you please keep in touch ...

Delivery was quicker than I expected, the boards are in good condition and what I expected. Boards were packed in batches of 10 with protective stiff foam at ends. Some of the tongues and grooves on the outside of the packs were cracked during the shipping, but acceptable in the circumstances.
