We love our transformed staircase! Keeping the existing treads, custom staining and making risers was the hard part. Direct Carpet made the runner installation the smoothest part of the project and the perfect finishing touch. I love that the purchase included the pads for each tread. I canā€™t recommend this company enough for a custom runner! The great style options is another plus.

Direct Carpet was very responsive. Almost immediately after submitting the order, I was contacted to provide information so they could provide the proper pads. Shipment was quick. Although they are advertised as suitable for DUI, I chose to hire someone. But, after watching some of the installation videos, I was able to suggest to the installer the best place to cut the runner during installation, and he followed that direction. A good experience from beginning to end.

The transformation from the old staircase and carpet (which was quite worn) to the look of the new carpet runner is quite amazing. The Direct Carpet runner is high quality and the pad adds so much cushioning. We had a local independent carpet installer put the runner down. He had it done in about one hour and did a great job! So happy with the results!

I was very impressed with the quality of carpet! I also didnā€™t realize it came with step padding so that was a pleasant surprise! We got our whole upstairs flooring redone plus the steps and I think the steps are my favorite Reno so far! Itā€™s such a huge difference to our house. The kids donā€™t slip on the steps now, nor do our dogs or myself. WINNING! Looking to purchase a matching running now.

I am very happy with this carpet runner. It is beautiful and very soft on the feet. I may spend the night sleeping on my new stairs. Keith was incredibly helpful when answering my many questions. He cut some custom pieces for the pie shaped stairs and they fit perfectly. The self help installation videos Direct Carpet has on their YouTube channel made for a smooth installation. I love the carpet and it can't stop staring(stairing?) at it. Thank you for everything!

Also very happy with the quality of the carpeting. I was worried that my dogsā€™ nails would snag the carpeting, but it hasnā€™t. Great product!

From the ordering process to the delivery, everything was great! We found the DIY videos to be perfect and really great at helping us to install the runner by ourselves. This is the first runner I have ever installed. I was able to get it done over a few hours in one weekend, including removing the old runner and some touch-up painting on the risers. Installing the new carpet was probably the easiest part, thanks in large part to the available YouTube installation videos. Itā€™s a high quality runner and pad set, it arrived quickly and it looks great.
