From Chrome Kings on Skein to handling big Steelhead, this rod covers it all. Perfect action in the top section to handle large head-shakes with enough mid-section backbone to crank down on fish headed for the wood. Balances perfectly with a 3000-4000 Shimano Vanford reel. I really like this rod for fall steelhead when running heavier leaders.

Love the rod, paired with the team lews pro sp real. The hook keeper needs to be below the reel. Line gets caught on it occasionally. Pat said you were in the process of moving it below the reel.

Used my MAGS 7’2” medium fast to jig walleye for 3 days straight of limits and it is so well balanced that wrist fatigue was not an issue. Great sensitivity to help you feel any and everything along the bottom. Highly recommended
