Great day putting the 🔨down on these big 9" and bigger gills. It is a Amazing time feeling that thump and then the constant circles of a big bull gill and fighting them the way up from 35+ feet. I purchased this rod as a compact trout rod and travel companion. In its time I have owned this rod it has dominated! Steelhead, King Salmon, Coho, Browns, Brook Trout, Walleye and Northern Pike. The action and back bone it has is great for snapping a crank, reeling in a spinner, bottom bouncing a crawler or egg sac. It’s abilities are endless.

Both of my rods handled these jumbo perch very very well! Only thing i noticed about both the power noodle and carbon rod was that when i caught these fish there was some movement where the blank goes in the trip. Both rods hand no issues with these 13.5 inch perch!

5th and 6th rods I've bought from mags. Love all the rods they are great, I have 2 lake trout jigging rods and 2 panfish, these most recent will be my walleye rods. The laker rods were the first I bought years ago, the handles are showing some wear some white fibers are showing through and one grip is starting to peel a bit. Overall amazing rods though lots of flex but lots of backbone too.
