I have been getting the DK mini set of the take flight collection since it launched. I am making a granny striped blanket and let me tell you this yarn is unreal!!! The softest and most bouncy yarn. The colors are also so saturated and give great detail to each months birds. I am beyond in love!

The Spun Sock XL was a beautiful base to work with! It is easy to crochet with, and blocks like a dream. Do make sure to block swatches for correct sizing and gauge. Using my own pattern for piecing, this cardigan was done in a pull through six loop shell stitch in Tunisian crochet with 5.5mm hook. I love the color pooling that came out of it!

I loved the colors of this retired backyard chicken collection. But even if I couldn't get this set again ( 😢 ), I love using the Phyllis sock base and the coordination of a set. I feel like all the backyard chickens are perfectly paired, and you couldn't go wrong with any of them. The Phyllis sock base is nice and squishy, a great fingering weight and you get just the right amount in one of these sets. I look forward to my next set.

This knits a bit like thick and thin but I still love it. Just as long as you know what to expect, it won’t throw you off. I am allergic to mohair and this is what I use instead.
