I bought this yarn and its tonal partner Nova to make fingerless mitts to donate to Kaiser for rheumatology patients. The yarn is wonderfully soft and warm, worked up easily on my Addi knitting machine, and it looks great! Thank you for a great product.

I used the mini skein to do a test swatch for my wedding dress! I doubled it with a gold sequin yarn just to see if I liked that too. Decided to use this for my dress because I love the earthy greens, browns, and golds that give the yarn so much character and flavor.

The wildflower minis make this crocheted scarf extra joyful. I combined them with several semi solids and a few of the Cloudflare minis. The yarn is a joy to work with!

I ordered at second skien of this colour because i made my GoGo throw larger and added varnish (main colour) sections to make it larger as well as tassels. This is a beautiful colour, so subtle and sophisticated. It arrived quickly so I didn’t have to stop work on the throw.

I’ve been in love with this set for years and when I saw it come back to the shop I snagged a set in the single base as I’m a sucker for the single. Love everything about the results but my only issue was with the yarn wanting to twist back on itself during knitting which was frustrating but I just dealt with it. I think I might get another set in a different base or maybe even a 50’s set!

I have loved using Hue Loco's worsted weight yarn!! I have previously only used their DK in my mitten knitting and was surprised how different the two feel. I will definitely be ordering more worsted weight yarn for future projects!! The pattern is Tin Can Knits' World's Simplest Mittens.

I got this tonal in Spun Sock XL as the compliment to the Rococo one pot. I used it for a slip stitch BLO ribbing on that cardigan, and the already bouncy Spun Sock XL gave even more bounce and stretch to the ribbing! This base was a very good choice for the part that touches my neck, because it's just so soft!

WIP - Hawthorne Tonal Shawl Crochet Pattern by www.brianakdesigns.com. Yarn using: Hue Loco Backyard Chicken Collection in 'Buff Laced Polish Hen' and 'Grapefruit' (both the Phyllis Sock weight). I couldn't decided between using 'Grapefruit' or 'Squash' with the 'Buff Laced Polish Hen', and I think either would have been great! I am loving how the 'Grapefruit' and the 'Buff Laced Hen' really compliment each other. The scarf is really light weight and would be great for the spring and summer se...

My son asked me to crochet a 70’s vest for warmth while in VA. He chose Magpie color way in worsted weight from Hue Loco.. It was a joy to create because I thought of him with each stitch & frogging and best of all it fits! I’ve only crochet for one year and it was my first men’s wearable.

This is my favorite online yarn store! Once again, the yarn is so squishy and soft. I love to see how all of the different colors work up. This WIP is the “Cadenza Wrap” by Toni of TL Yarn Crafts. I’m using “Bonafide” for the body in DK weight and “juniper” for the accent color. Online, “juniper “ is described as a steel blue, but to me it’s more of a dark purple…Could just be my eyes lol.

This was my first chicken purchase and I loved it so much I went back and bought 2 more to make this amazing shawl. I love the bright contrasting colors and how it pooled with my crochet pattern. The yarn is so squishy and bouncy. Can’t wait to finish this project and wear it!

I got the Ash Merino sock as a contrast color for my Granny Square Blanket using nine of the Star Signs. From the top it is Aquarius, Pisces, Aries Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio. It was my go to project to work on every night pretty much for the whole year. 💜💜💜

I loved working with the Thackery Binx colorway. The colors showed beautifully in my Weekender Light Sweater and it matched nicely with the chartreuse colorway. The yarn was easy to work with and care for. If I could still get more of the Hocus Pocus set I would!

This yarn is absolutely dreamy! I made Mallory Krall’s Hygge Burst blanket and it’s stunning and very soft. Customer service was also amazing. They even sent me a little birthday note with my order. :) I did buy my yarn just before the blanket kit was available so I paid a bit more, but they offered me a bulk discount on my joining yarn which was generous. I’ll definitely be buying more from Hue Loco.

I am absolutely in love with this silky mohair! I am currently holding a string of Big Yikes Mohair and some fingering yarn from my stash to make a twisted rib beanie. The silk content in the yarn gives it a beautiful luster, and the mohair creates a stunning ethereal halo effect. I can't get enough of Hue Loco's mohair - I want to buy them all !!!

The colors on these skeins are wonderful! It was exactly as I hoped and it gave me a really lovely colorful sweater that’s super interesting to look at but still a neutral enough that I can wear it with anything. As with all hand dyed yarn I had to be diligent about rotating my skeins to keep it even throughout the sweater. The great thing amount mohair though is you can weave them in together and they stick to everything so it made the process painless to switch between skeins so often. I will ...

Exceptionally pleased! I’m using the coffee 50/50 set to make the Coffee Shop Wrap by Alexandra Travel (Ravelry). I bought the pattern a few years ago and waited for the right yarn inspiration and Boom! I love the stretch and bounce of the yarn and is so soft. It’s very cold on the water here in this tiny town and I’m a wee bit over half down. I look forward to wrapping up in this as I get out of bed and make a morning cup of coffee in my coffee hutch.
