So far, these watercolor pencils are good at laying down colors and layers. The pigments are stronger than I expected so I need a lighter touch. They sharpen well. Will submit an image later.

As you can see by the attached image, it is not yet complete, but a work in progress. In most colorings such as this one, I use several media, from colored pencils, colored pens, black ink or whatever inspires me. The intense colors of the Castle Kandinsky set allows me to bring new depth when applied around or over other colors. This has increased my abilities for creativity and enjoyment. Thanks for making products worthy of my time and efforts.

These are really great pencils. There is a nice color selection and I love the zip up case. They glide on smoothly and sharpen easily. The only thing I don't like is the case smells. I'm hoping this will go away as it's out of the wrapping.

I love the Castle Arts products however the shipping company being used is horrible. They lost the first package and when I finally received the package it was damaged. The tins were dented but fortunately the pencils seem ok on the first sharpening. What should have taken 2-3 business days to receive took almost a month.

I make a patch of color on paper, wet the color, then pick up the liquid watercolor with a brush to apply to my drawing. Beautiful colors in the pencils. Easy to mix colors. The tin is a keeper too.

Absolutely love these pencils! Vibrant, high quality variety colors at an excellent price point for their quality. They blend and layer beautifully and I've been having a great time using these for my personal art. The set's case is great with all the pencils sharpened and arranged neatly inside, alongside a bonus of a few little booklets, guides, and a color testing sheet. Great investment for experienced and new artists alike! Hard recommend for these pencils.

Absolutely love the watercolor pencils! They lay down dry beautifully and after adding water, the pigments turns to a vibrant almost creamy smooth color. The colors pop, electric like neons. The leads do not break easy at all. I sharpened and swatched all the pencils without any breakage. The pencils themselves are lovely, they arrived carefully wrapped and packaged. Both the pencils and the zipper binder are of excellent quality. The colors lie down smoothly. They seem true to the color that you would expect. I have had no trouble with breakage when sharpening. I buy this tin for the Faces and my review photo shows the skin tones minus the makeup which was done with Castle Arts Metallic set. I use the skin tones (flesh light, flesh and flesh deep) as well as blush for cheeks from this set. It is my go for when it comes to skin tones.

This is wonderful non-toxic paint that is good for beginners and professionals alike. I have been painting seriously since 1998 and tried different professional grade watercolors. I am sensitive to the ingredients in these high end brands. I suspect it is the gum arabic or because the colors are so concentrated. These woodless watercolor pencils arr awesome. They are easier to use for large areas because the whole pencils are leads which gives you the ability to wet them (they get perfectly wet by a simple dip into a cup/jar of water) and use the whole length of the point to paint with rich colors. You can also use shavings from sharpening to put on paper and lightly spray with water using fine mist spray bottle to gently melt the shavings enough to make them stick
