I'm an animal portrait artist and I love to combine soft pastels with Oil-based pencils. I was using another brand which had limited color palette. I saw Castle Arts 120 Gold Set and I'm in love!! It has every perfect color for the fur tones and so much more!! The pencils are so smooth and vibrant, find myself just looking at all the colors being excited to use each one. The pencils are good. The colors are vibrant. I wish there would be some light tone as the whole set is more of medium to dark tone. Couple pencils in the set I received were with broken tips. The costumer service took care of the issue. Overall, happy with my purchase.

I am not colored pencil artist Use them for coloring in rubber stamps or background. I have other sets from other suppliers but i think this is my most favorite. It really blends nicely. I used the metallics over some drawig pencil and was e really nice. Plus one of my fav things it doesnt leave lines that you have to use blender pencil on. So very happy with my purchase.

Beat metallic color pencil set in my opnion I have try different ones, Faber Castell classic & Gold, brutfuners nine of them give you a trully metallic finish don’t get me wrong this ones don’t do it either you are gonna have to use pens for that but for the price point the amount of colors & the color selection of you get them on sell! They are worth every penny.

The pencils were in good condition when I received them, only one broken point. The pencils are a good student quality for the price and would be even better if they were a little softer. The pigment tended to lift a little when I added the water and it took not have several layers to get the look I got on the horse. I used about a dozen different pencils and did not have any breakage while using them. I would recommend these for students, beginners and hobbyists.

Its a decent watercolor. A nice amount of different colors. The pigment is not professional grade but does a good job. Colors spread on water ok but not like profesional grade paints. Overall i think they are great for the price and only time will tell how lightfast they are

It came packed very well. It comes in 2 packs of 20 sheets of pads, so you get 40 sheets of very well water color paper. My pack wasn't bent and I am very impressed. I tired it with the colored pencils (to see if the pencils would turn into water colors like my other named brand colored pencils, and they do. Castle Arts customer service is awful! I ordered and received the 120 CA Gold pencils set, and when going through them for swatching, I noticed that I had 2 of the same #160 Permanent Brown Deep, and no #069 Van Dyke Brown. I contacted customer service and was told they would NOT send me the missing pencil. Yes, I understand that these pencils are sold in sets only, but seriously, you should allow for these kind of mistakes and have open stock pencils on hand for replacement. I did not want the ...
