I love this set!! My picture is done with the Harmonious and a just a few of the Castle Metallic. My only comment is the color swatches I did are considerably lighter than those on the tin. I’m not the least bit less satisfied though! I can’t wait to get more of the Castle supplies.

Love the pencils I just had to rearrange it to make sense to me…. According to share or according to number. Matching it to the color card sample is a bit difficult. Wish it came with its own sharpener so that I’m assured the blade of sharpener works well with the softeness of the pencil.

Bought as a gift for my wife. The pencils color nice and smooth but had a pencil where the color lead is missing for the first few inches. So shell just have to waste a good chunk of pencil just to get down to the lead.

I have two complete sets of colored pencils: polychromos and prismacolor, but noticed that there was a definite lack of range in pastel tones. I watched at least a dozen comparison videos on You Tube and came away thinking that the Castle Arts Pastel Tints set would be the best choice. I was not disappointed!! I was SO impressed with the Raminta Art video; she colored one page with the 48 Pasteltints exclusively and did an beautiful job!

I love the muted tones. I do have some issues with two pencils. Pumice has a two tone effect going on and one of my pencils arrived damaged and severely cracked and scared to use it.(wild Thyme) Other than that these pencils make me want to color with them time and time again. I can't wait to put these and the pasteltints and soft touch colors all together! I recommend this pencils!
