Absolutely love the product all the powders are so easy to use I just used a little bit and it helped to mute down the gilding and hardware pieces even though I had some milk paint on it and also just in the crevices in around the edges like Amy teaches us just absolutely gorgeous!

I am loving the look cracked gesso gives under milk paint! It is my new favorite tool in my toolbox. Such a beautiful and authentic aged finish. Will be back for more!

Customer photo review of Black - Furniture Lacquer

This is an amazing trio! Well, quartet if you include the clean slate. I used lacquer primer, black lacquer and bright finishing spray on 2 doors so far…and THEY. LOOK. INCREDIBLE! Products are easy to use, lacquer is sprayed in my garage so there’s enough ventilation. But until high gloss enamel spray paint, lacquer dries to the touch super quick. So no bugs or debris gets caught in the paint. I did do a fine by sanding between coats, but a door can be done in a day, if it was my only pr...

May’s Color of the Month (CoM) is Southern Hospitality. It is a rich teal that goes with peacock colors so nicely. I was thrilled to get this color as I have a customer that wanted a “peacock” piece. Here’s a vintage end table I did for her. She’s over the moon. The CoM club is an economical way to expand your inventory of Amy Howard (A.H.) paints. Her paint adheres and is tough. There are no VOCs and A.H. Uses natural pigments. I am changing from two well known paints because the performance o...

Customer photo review of Mind Your Own Beeswax - 8 oz

Customer service is superb! The first bottle came and damaged and the product was leaking out the cracked bottom. A replacement bottle was shipped out immediately, free of charge, and I received it in a couple of days. The product didn’t disappoint as it put a beautiful finish on the furniture I was restoring.

This is the fourth piece that I have refinished with Amy Howard One Step Paints. I love working with the paints and the process is easy. With that said although I love the way my bookshelf came out, the Lakai Blue color was not what I expected. Online the color looked more gray- blue but it looks more blue than I expected. Since this piece is in a spare bedroom and the color was quite nice I still am happy overall. Next time I will have to buy a sample.

Love this paint and the ease of using it! We transformed a dated kitchen in less than a week and couldn’t be happier! Would highly recommend this paint! We used the Miracle Paint color A Good Man is Hard to Find!

I love being in the Color of the Month club, it is nudging me to try colors I wouldn't normally buy. I painted this piece with Rainy Nights, applied a stencil and then waxed it with MYOB & Cerusing Wax. I then gave it a little aging with a custom wax color mix of Majesty, Chocolate Pearl Mica and MYOB. I loved working with this color.

Here's a close up of how I chose to use this, my all time favorite color. If they had this in pigment powder I would be ecstatic. I used it in combination with the one step vanderbilt gray. Also the gesso, antinqing glaze, and light wax. Wanted a real layered and weathered look. But this color was my inspiration.

Happy with results, but learned what NOT to do the hard way... My 400 grit sandpaper scratched my fabric. So used a cuticle brush for roughing up second coat of paint. Had trouble with the Mind Your Own Beeswax—the upholstered material really grabbed onto it, it was impossible to put on “lightly and smoothly” with a cloth. Left my chair looking white and ruined. I tried to scrub it off with a wet towel, and that pulled off some of the paint. Realized I couldn’t touch up the paint because now...

There is a reason it is partially named "Affliction!" This color is so popular with clients, soothing to the eye, and easy to match with so many palate colors! I always keep a can in stock!
