Even better than the first pair I bought 3 years ago. Hands down the best barefoot shoes I've had and I've tried all the major brands. These are well made and affordable. Compared to other brands that are way too expensive and dont hold up nearly as well.

Easy to slip on with the fold down back. These replaced three pairs of sandals and clogs so nice to clean out my shoe bin and get the benefits of barefoot.

I’ve had about 4 pairs of various shoes from Bearfoot since their launch and have loved them all. I was a little nervous of the extra coverage of these new soles, but I have ended up really appreciating it. These have been the most comfortable and the added sole should really improve the life. I’d always wear a hole into the heels of the other version so I can’t wait to see how they hold up!

I wear 13 wide, size 48 was fine. I work in a grocery store, produce department 8 hours a day...my lower left leg was starting to show signs of damage. So, thought I would try barefoot shoes, circulation is definately improved and leg looks healthier. No problems with traction, I will purchase again for sure!

Quite a step up from the first gen! I bought my first pair around 4 years ago and they were my go-to for weight training. I only switched to the new ones because I was wearing holes in the insoles. The new pair fits very comfortably and I plan to keep them around for several years to come.

Overall I’m very happy with the boots. I knew I would be, I own a pair of Ursus shoes and they are great. I tried the bruins on at a trade show and knew they would be great. I ordered them in October 2024 and received them May 2025. Outside of the over half a year it took to receive them, they are very comfortable once broken in. I use them everyday as my new work boot. I love the quality and style of the boot. Looking forward to see how they hold up long term.

The first time I wore the shoes, they fit perfectly and felt like I wasn't wearing shoes at all. However, I did get a blister after a 3 mile walk the second day of wearing the shoes. The blister was on my right foot pinky toe, specifically right next to the nail. I took a few days off from wearing them, and now there isn't any problems. Kinda sad these are discontinued. I like the unique design, the oversized tongue. I had to buy a half a size big to use thicker socks so if you gotta use thicker socks then go up half a size. I hope they bring back the unique look of these bad boys.

I don't have mobility issues so I can't speak to the experience of that but I think this is probably a great shoe for people who can't tie laces, for example. I don't know if the other people who shared photos have worn them for a while but they don't look as wide in person even though they fit great.

I love these shoes! I couldn’t wait for them to come in and then they ran out and I had to wait. But, I was pleasantly surprised that the fit was much better than the last pair I purchased from Bearfoot. They feel amazing, I hardly ever take them off. The only weird thing I noticed was the smell out of the box - it smelled like shoe polish or something like that. But I haven’t noticed it since. I fully intend on running these into the ground like I did my last pair from Bearfoot.

I marked these as fit too large but I have to say this is because I have lower volume feet. I have wide feet and the length fit fine but the overall thickness if my feet and ankles makes it hard ti snug up the boots and reduce slop. I'm used to this. It's an issue I've dealt with for years but I'd love to see one good manufacturer like bearfoot work with guys like me. That said, these boots are solid well made work boots. I have both the original Ursus and the Oso, both in canvas. My original pair of Ursus canvas frayed pretty badly after a few month, and the Oso in canvas were a little rough around the edges, but this newer version of the Ursus is awesome. It feels more premium, the sole feels more durable, and overall it's more comfortable than the previous gen model. I will say that I do miss the ground feel afforded by the previous gen model, but having a sole that feels durable enough that it won't wear down...

So these shoes have some back story. I originally ordered a completely different pair of shoes, and when I got them they didn't fit right. So I easily got an exchange started. Customer service is 100% top notch with Bearfoot. Easily got the old ones sent back and news ones coming. Then they got back ordered. I wasn't sure how comfortable wearing barefoot boots would be on gravel, but the Bearfoot Bruin boots have proven to be quite comfortable. The sole of the boot is just thick and sturdy enough that it evenly distributed the pressure when walking over rocks. The rest of the boot construction is great as well, and I'd highly recommend this as a durable work boot. Although, I'd recommend that Bearfoot make a boot with a Goodyear welted construction, as well as possibly being a wellington style boot ...

So the first pair sent the seams didn’t line up and they seemed off a bit but they gladly took back that pair and sent me a completely different new pair that were perfect. I believe these are handmade so I can understand how everyone once in a while they could be off. Don’t hesitate to contact them they will make it right sent a shipping label and reshipped the new ones very quickly. I have the suede boots and the deadlift canvas boots including be happier with their shoes.

This might be the most comfortable pair of boots right out of the box I have ever owned. I may go a size smaller next time to allow for more break-in but these are just right with heavy wool socks for cooler weather. I’ve been transitioning to barefoot shoes for a couple of years now and I wanted something that I could wear hiking in a more traditional looking style but that weren’t constraining my feet like regular boots. These are great!
