Awesome boots. The leather is thick, the sole is heavy duty, and the welt is an actual stitched welt, not that cheap fake welt. They feel like they will actually hold up to work. I was asking around and Ben Pollack mentioned that I should order a half size bigger than I normally would with shoes. I took his advice and these shoes fit like a glove. The Ursus High-Top is the most stable shoe I've ever worn. It sits perfectly flat, will not move, and the wide toe box allows plenty of room to properly root the feet. And while there is plenty of room for the toes the shoe fits tightly over the ankle to provide great stability. I used to squat in lifters, but after switching to the Ursus I doubt I'll ever go back as the flat sole is ideal for squats as well as deadlifts. Bought 2 pairs in Feb 2021 and swap them out every day. I had to glue the sole on 1 pair December 2024. These are my favorites and keep looking online for new stock in grey. I will keep wearing them till they rot off my feet as they are the best. I wear them for everything except in wet weather. I run, lift, and work in them. I was cautiously optimistic initially but was sold after the first workout in them. I had been wearing lifting shoes with hard soles for squats and deadlifts, sneakers for most and Reebok lifting high tops occasionally.
