This is the first time I've tried a project like this. The piece is incredibly detailed and layered -- there are so many tiny things in this scene! Everything is beautifully made. Not difficult to glue and put together, but follow the directions carefully and be sure that building elements are in just the right places so that pieces fit together at the end. Enjoyable build. Really a nice looking finished product. Like a lot of decent quality Book Nooks, some of the elements you really don't see in the finished product, but are what makes the assembly fun (example: stuffing actual paper into the manilla folders). The wiring in this was more complex - in that getting the length of the wires exactly right was very difficult (especially the two in the roof). Very challenging to get the length right (no easy way to tuck excess wire anywhere). Be careful...

A long but successful project. I'm impressed at the precision of the fit between pieces. With just a few exceptions everything went together precisely with no ajustments needed. Instructions are mostly clear (a few errors that are easily self corrected). Gluing in some spots definitely is needed (and glue is supplied, contrary to the statement in the description. When I first opened the box and saw all the parts and pieces - I was alittle overwhelmed. But once I went through the instructions, which were easy to understand and follow, and started pushing out the pieces and parts, I was hooked. I ordered my kit on April 13th and received the kit on April 21st. I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer on April 28th which was devastating. I couldn’t concentrate on assembling the kit. But then decided to start to try to complete the kit and completed the kit May 26th. I inserted a photo of my wife and I into the kit.
