Be prepared to spend a few hours or days completing this train cabin, but the final product is well worth the wait. It's a journey, so enjoy the process of putting it together. My niece absolutely adored it, and it was wonderful spending time with her.

I had a blast putting this Ginzan Onsen! Sure, sometimes little wood pieces would break off when you snapped them together, but it still went together, and if it needed some help, I just added some glue. It looked the same in the end. I loved the set, but I was super bummed when the lights didn't work. No matter what I tried, they just wouldn’t turn on. Other than the defective lights, I highly recommend it. Also, I saw other reviews mention an odor—yeah, it has a smell, but I got used to it pre...

This was my first model like this and one of the few I've ever done. It took a lot of time, but putting it together was really relaxing and kind of 'zen'. I loved being able to customize it and feeling accomplished when it was done. Totally worth the money if you're worried about that. Plus, it looks great on the bookshelf, doubling as decor and a bookend.

I enjoy doing puzzles, so this project was fun for me. The directions were tough to understand but they guided me in the right direction. All the parts were there and the wood pieces were nice. It took me 11 days to complete. I recommend this project.

I loved building this so much! It was super fun especially since it's mostly anime-themed which I adored. I've worked on other miniature kits and this one was the most enjoyable by far. The instructions were mostly clear with a few confusing spots but generally easy to follow, and the materials were high quality. Highly recommend!

The instructions could have been clearer so the finished project wasn't perfect but despite a few frustrating moments, it was overall a very enjoyable experience. If this is your first miniature kit (book nook), I'd recommend starting with something simpler before tackling this one.

This was so much fun to do, and I absolutely loved the process. The light-up effect and the moving part were really cool. I recommend this to anyone who loves books.

We really enjoyed putting this Ginzan Onsen book nook together, and the finished project was amazing to see. We had a great time with it, taking about 6 days to complete. I would highly recommend Anavrin. The instructions are step-by-step and easy to understand.

I bought this 1940s book nook kit for my dad for Christmas since he is into trains and crafting, and he absolutely loved it. It kept him busy for days; he literally couldn’t put it down. The kit is very well made, the instructions were clear, and all the pieces fit together perfectly.

I absolutely loved putting this train cabin book nook together. The directions can be a little tricky, so take your time with them. I also used super glue, which worked well due to its quick drying time. I’ll definitely be buying another kit from anavrin to put together. If you enjoy Lego sets, this will definitely up your game!

The directions were not very clear, and I ended up having to take pieces/sections apart when I saw that I had missed a step. The steps were mostly pointed to on the picture and hard to see/find in certain parts. But it went well. I love the finish Ginzan Onsen product especially the moving part. That's very unique.

The attention to detail on these Anavrin book nooks is incredible. The assembly wasn't the easiest, but it was definitely worth it. I love building these and would recommend them for sure!

For the most part, I love making your model. Howeverr, there are some points I would like to make. There are a number of instances where there is no part number in the instruction manual. Also, some of the part numbers are missing on the parets "sheet". Lastly, steps number 57 thru 63 are increadibly difficult to complete. Better instructions regarding completing these steps would have been appreicated. The LED item on step 80, the electrical leads DO NOT match the illustration provided.

You can't rush through this kit. It's more like the old-school 'cut every leaf out and hold it in place while the glue dries' type of kit, not like the newer ones with finished plastic pieces.

If you’ve ever dreamed of making tiny pillows, teacups, and roses, this product is for you. I love crafts and was looking for a new project when I found this. After reading some reviews I thought it would be perfect for me. However, it is extremely challenging if you’ve never done anything like this before. Everything is soooo small. I’ve spent 4-5 hours a couple of times a week for three weeks and I’m still nowhere near finished. It’s very tedious, but I am enjoying it. Some reviews mentioned m...

I enjoyed making the library. It was easy to follow the directions and it looks so good when done. Lots of neat details. I took a close photo snd it looks like a real library in an old house.

Purchased this as a holiday gift for my niece (Senior in high school) who has some artistic leanings, and when she opened it, she apparently disappeared with the kit and did not return for hours, and only then for meals. She loves it . . . I mean LOVES it . . . and I highly, highly recommend this! These kits rock!

It's a gift, so I haven't opened the box yet. It looks unique and I'm confident it will be well received. I've built similar miniatures before, so the quality appears good.

I adore all the vintage details in this Train Cabin book nook—it's just adorable! It comes together pretty easily, but you definitely need patience and coordination. The beauty is, mistakes blend right in with the antique vibe. I'm excited to add my own quirky touches on my train. Can't wait for friends to see it and soak it all in. Definitely hooked—I want more!

Overall, the 1940 train cabin book nook looks beautiful after assembly. Some pieces of the cut-out puzzle can be fragile, so be gentle when taking them out. I would buy it again and totally recommend it. Prompt shipping, too!

I would really recommend this Ginzan onsen kit overall, especially at the current discounted price. You will get hours of fun out of it, and in the end, you actually get a usable decorative item that will look amazing on a bookshelf or among your book collection. Not to mention, it is guaranteed to get you quite a few positive comments from visitors.

This was a lot of fun to build! It took me days to complete it. Make sure you have glue (super glue worked best for me) and a nail file or sandpaper for attaching all the walls. I was half a mm off in one spot, which took me 30 minutes of frustration before I thought of filing it down—lol. I changed up some of the decorations, so it doesn't exactly match the instructions, but I like it! Overall, it's really fun and cool to look at. So detailed. Love it!

Truly amazing level of precision/detail. Anyone who thinks they can ID and figure out assembly of nearly 400 parts, many of which are tiny, in "5-6 hours" is in fantasyland. For MOST people (even the most experienced), assembly time is going to be FAR greater than that. It took me "5-6 hours" just to do the first panel in the instructions, which the makers purposely set up as the first in order to provide the DIY'er a little knowledge/experience/confidence before moving on to the more difficu...

This train book nook kept me entertained for days. It has some really fascinating mechanics that added to the fun of building it. The printing on the wood is vivid, and the quality of the wood itself is good.

Now that it’s FINALLY finished, it is wonderful. We’ve done many kits, but this one has a MILLION pieces to put together before you can even start assembling it. I put it together as a gift.

Absolutely wonderful kit! Takes one back in time for a stroll through a fantasy. Outstanding look anywhere it’s placed. I will definitely order more, for and as unique and dreamy gifts

I’ve been modeling for a while, and this model took me four days to put together. It’s a level five kit with over 500 pieces. I enjoyed the challenges it offered. It’s a great model for someone with experience. Not for a novice.

Ginzan Onsen is very well designed, with clear instructions. The laser-cut wood parts are precisely cut, well-identified, and extra parts are included for those that are prone to breaking. My only advice is not to start with this as your first wood kit of this type, as it's quite complex and there are many ways to go wrong. However, if you take your time and follow the directions carefully, you'll end up with a handsome and enjoyable model.

I gifted this to my mother for Christmas—she adores these types of kits. Previously, she had made Sam's Study and enjoyed it, but she liked this one even more.

For me, Train Cabin was a really fun project with an adorable result. Just know it takes a lot of time and patience to put together. It's like a tough puzzle—if you like that, you'll love this. But if you just want a cute book nook without the effort, this isn’t for you.

I've assembled several of these book nook kits, so believe me when I say that this 1940s Train Cabin book nook is super cool. Though the assembly instructions are very confusing, especially when dealing with the electrical components, but the finished result is fantastic. Such a neat addition to your bookshelf.

The finished 1940s Train Cabin book nook looks even better than the pictures, mostly because it moves. This is an extremely detailed scene that fits perfectly on a bookshelf. It’s really cute, and I felt a warm sense of pride seeing the person brag about their work.

Prepare to spend some hours or days on building this Ginzan Onsen book nook, but once it's done, it looks great. I'm still not finished, but it's calming and fun to build your own little world.

I've been wanting a book nook from Anavrin for a really long time, but I'm just not crafty, so my husband got it and put it together for me. The quality of this is amazing, and the details are exquisite. It is Spirited Away themed, which was a nice surprise. It took about 3 days to put together. I love it, and I'll definitely be buying more!

The pieces came off the sheets easily and fit together well. The instructions were clear. The finished 1940s Train Cabin looks great and works well. Just take your time, as many pieces are really small.

Absolutely stunning and totally worth the frustration it gave me, haha! Had to shave down a few parts to get them to fit flat, but the end result was so rewarding. Everything came together just as expected, and I even found some cool hidden gems inside. If you love this hobby, I highly recommend adding this kit to your collection!

This 1940s Train Cabin is really not for beginners. I loved every second of assembling it. The directions are mostly picturesc which can be confusing at first, but are easy to understand once you get the hang of them. You'll spend many hours on this, so if that's not your thing, don't buy it.

This was only the second model I've ever built and it was much more complicated than the first. Putting it together was challenging and definitely tested my patience, but in a good way. I'm giving the Ginzan Onsen by Anavrin 5 stars because the finished product is absolutely enchanting and delightful. All the parts were there, the instructions 'worked', and each piece was interesting and educational to build. I worked slowly, about 2-3 hours a day, and it took me 2 weeks to finish.
