Needed a new crank arm as the original had worked loose and worn the spline . Didn't check crank arm bolt ! Fitted new one with locktite . Cyc photon motor has now done 7200 km fitted to my gravel bike. I've just completed a 160 km ride ,snowy valleys challenge, using two 36v batteries and the electronic balancing thing . Built a 10s4p e-bike battery using 40 x Bak 45d cells.
Had a couple of rides and there is no noticible voltage sag under the heaviest load. Using maximum assist on my ebike with a 250W rear hub drive I completed a 30km ride and battery voltage was still at 38V at the end of the ride. Very happy with the performance of these cells.

Battery works fine, identical to the original. Rubber cover over the battery charging port does not fit into the port so the charging terminals are likely to be at risk during wet weather.

It's so small that it's difficult for me to read some of the details other than speed and level, and also hard to make out in direct sunlight, but it's unobtrusive on the handlebars and much easier to change settings than using a USB cable. The biggest thing is having road and offroad modes, and it does that very well. I also love having a more accurate speed, and being able to calibrate the battery more accurately.
