Well, what can i say but you have done it again Ben.... prompt service, reliable parts and a fountain of knowledge! Needed a new 36v controller, 4 into one cable and a couple of bafang tools, all sent in one neat package. But working every day makes it a slow progress on my behalf. Lol. Thank you again Ben.

Item arrived quickly. No dramas. The part that had failed was the sprag clutch within the blue gear. The old blue gear itself was still in great condition after 1600 km. Pity you can't just order the clutch insert, but I guess the manufacturer sends it out as a single unit. In my opinion, if the motor is treated with respect (mechanical sympathy), and the gears are used properly, the blue gear does not end up stripped as some users report.

Despatch was super fast by seller, unfortunately Australia Post let it sit in the Adelaide airport for 3 days so it still took a week to get here. The motor performance is great. I thought I had bought everything to complete the conversion, but be aware that even though this kit is for a 68-73 bottom bracket it, does not contain the longer bolts and spacers required for a 73mm BB. Also there were only 4 out of the 5 bolts required for the chainring. This made me lose 90 minutes out of my build ...

I'd maybe adding cable length to the product description.. and definitely add a side note that it will require extension... I purchased mine and had to wait a week as I was unaware how short the throttle wiring was .....but all in all uses it..love it ..very strong spring so feels solid..but the plus is no accidental whisky throttle. Lol

I broke my speed sensor by somehow wedging a large stick in my back wheel. The motor kept turning off so it was obvious I had done some damage. My new part arrived quickly and I was one the road again in no time. The part that took the longest was figuring out what had gone wrong.

I was so excited to purchase the CYC Photon Kit and matching 52 Volt, 15 Amp Battery for my newish Avanti Hammer MB.. However, Wasnt happy with the service from Cap Rouge (CR). After purchasing the Photon Kit CP offered me a $50 discount on the battery automatically redeemable at the checkout. However, the discount didn't work leaving a nasty feeling of being cheeted!

This Photon gen2 has oodles of smooth quiet power, very easy install, I bought my first Photon gen2 4 months ago for my dual suspension MTB, I am that impressed I had to have another in my possession - this 1 I'm setting up on a Merida hardtail MTB in the coming months for family or friends to ride with, the hardtail MTB will also give me a much larger battery space inside the frame for long distance rides.

I’ve since built the battery and tested it on my e-bike and the performance is very good. Highly recommend these for e-bike batteries. Minimal voltage drop under heavy loads. Quite satisfied.

Found out after plugging it in that there’s nothing wrong with my old charger. Smart charger starts at 32v and not 52v. Now I have to get a new battery😔. At least I have a spare now though.

The conversion kit was delivered on time. The installation took some time because of the bike frame dimensions (near the bottom bracket) required a novel mounting mechanism ( I had to reverse the torque bracket ). The setup of the speed sensor is rather particular too. The bike goes like a dream - plenty of power. A very happy with everything.

I replaced a photon gen 1 with this motor as the gen 1 was getting sprag clutch slippage. Installing was very easy, because this motor uses the canbus system connectors for the display and wheel speed sensor/Bluetooth are different, triangular for the display and square for the speed sensor, the throttle connector from the gen 1 appears the same and works fine For some reason I received the longer crank kit for the 90mm bottom bracket, again no problem as the left bearing holder and isis cran...
