Purchased the 750W Bafang kit with 15Ah battery, fitted it to a 2014 Kona Blast 19", the install was pretty straight forward, only issue i had was the bolts supplied where not long enough as my bottom bracket was a bit wider, had to source 6mm longer bolts which wasn't an issue. The motor has plenty of power, is quite, smooth and on a fully charged battery i got over 100 kilometers range which is amazing, that was using PAS 1 and 2 mostly on fairly flat road riding. Ben helped me choose by promptly replying to emails/phone calls. I got the 36volt hub kit due to the relatively simple install process. Hardest bit was getting the 10mm axle into my 9mm dropouts but nothing I couldn’t fix with a metal file as per the fitting instructions. VERY happy with the cyc photon I fitted to my Jamis renagade S3 gravel bike with 10x2 gearing . The torque sensing is as instant and progressive as I hoped it would be . I've set the power levels at 150 , 300and 450 w . That's legal in NSW I believe . Previously I have run 48V 1000W hub motors which simply aren't suited to off road and hills... they prefer flatter, more formed surfaces. The 48V 750W Bafang kit from Cap Rouge is a totally different experience. It glides up hills and is great in both off road and on road conditions. Just purchased this 850c display for my 500w hub motor very easy to install with a few more features than the previous unit. Easy to read in sunlight works well with Kit from Ben. I took this photo of both my bikes, as this project used components of the new kit on both bikes. I ordered the new TSDZ2 B kit to add to my fleet. I had recently purchased the Dutch cargo bike, and it was crying out for some e assist! I had swapped the older TSDZ2 into the cargo bike, which worked well and made the bike less pedestrian. Bought this kit to electrify a Gazelle Cabby cargo bike. Support and sale from Cap Rouge was painless, and the kit arrived in Adelaide quickly. The kit is of a high quality and was really easy to assemble. I did not have any chainline issues on my bike that has a 68mm bottom bracket and as 135mm rear hub. The chainring was lined up with middle gear ring. The motor has a decent amount of kick. Everyone who test rode it was taken by surprise at the power.
