I asked Ben to change it to the 38T, as the 40T would have touched the swingarm, the 38T is a perfect fit for the Norco Fluid & the chain line is near perfect, I like how easily replaceable the chainrings are as well, nice work CYC!

For someone with no bike mechanic experience, identifying which bottom bracket tools I needed was confusing at first (since there so many types bottom brackets). But once that was figured out and bottom bracket / crank puller tools were bought, it was relatively easy to follow the many videos available on Youtube and install the ebike conversion kit over a weekend.

I had an x12 controller for my x1 pro gen 4 motor but mosfet failed in controlled after purchase of new x12 controller i had a 4 day weight for it to be shipped to Perth an replaced old one with new one which was simple enough an turned bike on connected the app from phone with Bluetooth a quick firmware update an I was back on the road an not a problem since couldn't be happier

The Silverfish Style Battery from Cap Rouge is a perfect replacement for the battery on my son's Leitner ebike. After a couple of years it had pretty much had it, requiring a recharge after even short trips. Fitting the replacement was very easy, 10 minutes is all it took and it was working.

The BBSHD (120mm) is a perfect motor for my fat bike! It was an easy build... I've done several BBS02s... and provides ample power for the steepest climbs out on forest trails. Can't wait to try it on the beach.

Nice addition to the install, the speedometer has large numbers, so I don't need my glasses & no more squinting, just the quickest glance & eye's back on the road! same with power level not as large as speedo but still the quickest glance is all it takes, with the smaller display I would have trouble reading it quickly on the go like I am with the intuition display! I use glasses but not for riding & driving only reading.

I’ve fitted both my recumbent trikes with these batteries. Motors are Tonsheng TSDZ2 and TSDZ2B (the latter one also acquired from Cap Rouge). Both batteries perform really well, giving around 95km on maximum power assist. Great service from Cap Rouge - excellent communication, good prices and quick delivery even to WA.

Very prompt delivery. The rack is of sturdy aluminium construction into which the battery box fits very nicely. Documentation was lacking, especially regarding the (designed) tight fit of the nuts for the battery box attachment screws. However, it all went together and works well. Cap Rouge are responsive to customer concerns.

I found the kit to be very complete, even including cable ties for attaching the speed sensor to the chain stay. It was well packaged and delivery was super quick.
Documentation was sparse, particularly regarding the wiring, which needed some thought to connect, and the display where the online manual needs to be updated. However, Cap Rouge responded quickly to all my queries resulting in a successful installation.

I purchased this battery as part of a build to do a 30km return daily commute on mostly bike paths with some decent elevation. Paired with the CYC Photon this battery provides excellent performance. in the first week I got 75km range using race mode 3 (pedaling and using the throttle for some hills) and still had power left. The bracket has plenty of mounting options and I added some wider washers to the bracket to support the weight of the battery.

As it was an older bike I did have to change the 7 speed cassette, and the gear selector as it was an all in one with the original brakes. Unfortunately I didn't do my homework on the battery's physical dimensions until after I ordered it and it was too big for my bike. Fantastic service as always... Ben is super helpful and always ready to give good advice. The chainring improved the chainline by a couple of mm and with the narrow-wide tooth pattern slipped chains are a thing of the past.

This throttle works much better then the cyc one. Its more controllable with way better modulation. Its not just on or off it controls your speed from a crawl all the way up to full speed ahead. Personally I think the cyc one is very dangerous, especially with full 6000 watts of power. It put we flat on my back with a couple of broken ribs.

From rusty old 1987 Graecross Jakaroo MTB to a very functional eBike. The ebike conversion kit was very easy to install. Everything fitted properly. Just make sure you measure the bottom bracket and select the appropriate size motor. If you want a range of over 100km get the 22wh battery. If not save weight and get the smaller battery. So far I am very pleased with the performance.

All good easy fit just disappointed that it has no way of locking power off with a key 🔑 anyone can turn the switch on the battery and ride away if it doesn’t have security chain on and they even get stolen with them

After measuring existing battery was glad this matched exactly and fitted my bike. Was uncertain when blue indicator lights did not stay illuminated when pressed to show charge level but it must be a variation to original battery. All good and had an awesome ride yesterday.

This is a must if you have a 73mm bottom bracket spacing when installing the bafang motor. Makes the motor fixing very secure. Yes I would recommend definitely recommend the this lock nut.

Great info, advice, website & prices, oh almost forgot fast shipping... Just getting used to having my gearing right, not just hooning around in 9th gear/ L5 assist using throttle only... If you're thinking about it, do it... Just check that 1) it'll fit, 2) chainring sizes and 3) your power Vs battery requirements.

Very pleased with the result with this replacement battery.
Came with new plug base which was good as the original was different in size and number of pins, a bit of solder and file had the new one in place in no time. Also larger capacity than the original.
Been on a few rides of late and have not flattened it as yet.
Willl be a good purchase if you have a similar bike.

The kit arrived not long after, the only problem I had was bottom bracket was Shimano 3 piece where i had to file out the centre, but all sorted. Took it for a test run and was pleasantly
surprised how quiet and smooth it was, the assist was great as I am a Senior with some health issues, so its given the bike and myself a new lease on life. Waiting for some warmer weather to go on a long run. Not sure if you if the photos went through...let me know.

I have fitted a cyc photon motor and 36v 720wh battery to my Jamis renagade S3 gravel bike . I am very happy with the result . I have approx 600 km on the system now . Most of my riding is in hilly terrain (Upper Murray region) and I am doing rides of 60 to 80 km with 120w of assistance and returning home with 2-3 bars left in the battery . I wanted a system that still felt like I was riding a bicycle but with a little help on the hills and this system has delivered . Thankyou Cap Rouge .

Unit was fairly straightforward to install and is working fantastically. I live in the Dandenongs in Melbourne and the 14aH battery is enough to get me 4 x 20km round trips to and from work on a single charge which I was impressed with given its roughly a 200m change in elevation from work back to home each night up the hill.
Had a few teething problems with the install but Ben from Cap Rouge was fantastic in following up and helping to resolve them.

Ive never built an E-bike before and this kit was pretty easy to install. The torque sensing is phenomenal and you can decide how much work you put in using the assit levels.
I've put 400km on the bike since installing. Using a 52v 20ah pack I got over 100km of range on rough gravel tracks over a few windy days.
Unrestricted mode is insane and you may feel the front wheel starting to lift as you pedal.
Definitely recommend hydraulic disc brakes and good tyres as I guarantee you will end up g...

Fits exactly as described. My bottom bracket outer diameter was 48mm and I did indeed need to use a 2mm spacer which was not supplied with the kit on the sprocket side. My shell width is 92mm and with the supplied 6mm motor spacer it aligned well. I would recommend getting the correct lekkie socket tool to tighten down so the correct torque is achieved. I used a pipe clamp and put some scratches on it (very scratched up bike any way so whatever)

I have a 29 NCM Moscow Plus. Comes with the factory 768 capacity battery. I usually get about 65k distance on the PAS settings I use (normally PAS 6 everywhere). With this new 1200 capacity battery I get 93k distance. This is a bit less than I was expecting but I still very happy with the new battery. Of course I could extend this distance by using lower PAS settings. Battery fits exactly in the standard cradle. Very happy !!

750 watt befang motor conversion with the 48v 15amp rear rack battery on the wifes step through bike first ride in PA 2 30 round trip and only used 2% of the battery power and the power from the setup is outstanding. Very pleased with the whole conversion and sure that we will get many km's of trouble free and enjoyable riding. Top speed is 40km with a 44 tooth chain ring fitted and the bikes original 7 speed rear cassette a very happy camper
