I purchased the spoons for my father. After his stroke, he can no longer play his dobro and really missed sitting in his circle with friends. This will take some time to coordinate hand to eye, but it has given him a goal! He now has hope again and looks forward to being back in the circle. We hope to buy more sizes in the future for him. These were a replacement for a pair I bought at the Toronto One of A Kind Craft Show years ago. I gave those to a friend in Ireland but missed them so ordered a new pair. They are still well made and nicely "relic-ed" but I wanted them worn in even smoother like my old pair so I have touched them up with fine sandpaper. Even with my gnarly hands they are comfy to play, easier than metal spoons from a drawer ( tho those are fun too).
