I’m 74 years old and I’ve always been intrigued by people who could pick up 2 ordinary spoons and make such wonderful and happy music. I can’t play any instruments but I thought that I might be able to play the spoons. As I really couldn’t hold normal spoons I did some research and found Heritage Spoons, their spoons are beautifully made and in gorgeous colours. I chose the red set and have, with help from the Heritage Spoons videos, started my attempt to play the spoons! At last!

Bought as a gift, but I did play with them a bit before wrapping! Beautifully made, the wood is soft and luxurious to the touch. The sound is fun, but not necessarily easy to conjure. After a few tries and video searches, I managed to coax a few notes from them. I highly recommend!

bought these for Christmas presents. I am excited about giving them. One thing that i noticed is that the wood is not as smooth in the indent part that makes the piece a spoon. But otherwise they are fantastic. I look forward to ordering more. Plus the bag is a great piece too. I will definitely order the bags with all future orders. I got the small size for my adult daughter who enjoys playing kitchen spoons. Everyone thought they were a neat gift. Even the grandkids were taking turns playing them and doing very well to! I bought two large pairs and one medium pair. Unfortunately one of the large pairs broke on the first day of use (one of the handles snapped). I haven’t seen this mentioned in reviews elsewhere so I don’t think it is a problem that runs across the product, which is beautifully shaped and handcrafted and very satisfying to hold. I bought the large size for a gift and the medium size for myself, in natural maple. They are beautifully crafted! I love to support artists who make quality items and these are first rate. I haven’t played around with them much because I’m busy getting ready for Christmas, but I’m sure I will enjoy them. The large ones have a slightly deeper sound than the medium.
