Additive and really easy to play. They're very good quality and so far they've survived some hard-core playing and they play the same as the first day I got them. The cups give an excellent range of sounds which suit a lot of different genres. Using my fingers was easy and don't hurt even when playing loud and sounds like I've been playing them for years. One of my best buys in a long time. Buy one....I promise you will love it.

Super fun instrument. Fairly easy to get started with, especially if you play guitar because the right hand movement is similar to strumming a guitar. Great take on a classic American folk instrument.

I love this instrument. I’m a professional drummer but many of my gigs involve a more “acoustic” or unplugged approach Heritage spoons give me an additional sound that is easy to load in!

These spoons are so well made, and very comfortable to hold. Definitely a good buy and fun to play. I just need to practice and there’s a tutorial video to help!

I star in One of the biggest outdoor arena shows in Germany and also play the harmonica and the spoons ! They are so loud, precise and they have a great sound. The design makes it easy to play. Even for beginners. I’m having a ton of fun here in Germany.

I play in a ukulele group and thought these may add a new sound to our group. I take a charming 88year old blind lady with me and one morning I said to her "try these new spoons I've got and tell me what you think". She was over the moon with them, in fact I never got them back haha. When she got home her grandaughter tried them and loved them as well. So much so I've had to order 3 more pairs. Fantastic quality and endless fun.

Bought the large spoon and it arrived just in time for the Townsville Folk Festival, Australia and I used it in the Irish jam session and in Wattle & Gum bush band. Was fantastic and excellent sound and well made. Enjoying it.

It's a wonderful instrument!! Very intuitive, the big spoon is the easiest to play on, I will order another one, yesterday I joined in playing with the spoon, with an orchestra, and it was entertaining.

I have loved the spoons for creating rhythms in my songs. They are very well made, of sturdy wood, and with excellent finishes. Their sound is fantastic. What I didn't like is that I had to pay customs fees since I am from Spain, and it cost me almost as much as the spoons themselves, so I ended up paying double. But I am happy with them. Thank you very much.

A beautiful instrument! Well made and does what it says "on the box". I'm yet to feel confident on it but did play it (tentatively and quietly!) at a traditional session the other night. I will practise and get better - and more confident.

Hey Richard and Mathieu, my Musical Spoons arrived today, to my utter delight! Beautifully packaged and upon opening the box, I marveled at the gorgeous craftsmanship of this instrument and the quality maple wood and I instantly knew It was love at first sight, feel, and sound!!! I am a drummer and percussionist since the 60s and I am 77 years young. I truly appreciate the design and possibilities of playing the Spoons and when I gave 'em a 'dry run'--------it was like being reacquainted w...

The box has been opened and I've rattled it a few times, but it's a birthday present for a June birthday, so it will stay in its' box until then.

This is an awesome and unique instrument. It’s great to play it solo or along with your favorite music. It also works as a cool fidget gadget and is very easy to use. Perfect for a beginner as well as an advanced percussionist.

I bought black, medium Heritage spoons on rather a whim and I'm glad I did. They are well made and, at least for me, very tactile. They have the advantage of being readily available and I pick them up numerous times most days to have a practice if only for three or four minutes. Although I am by no means an expert, I have definitely progressed in ability from when I first tested them only two weeks ago. In fact, I've ordered the small and large versions which I expect to arrive in the next few d...

I really liked them! The tone was low and not high-pitched as you can hear from short metal spoons. Be aware that if you are ordering from Romania it will take longer than expected to arrive. I placed my order on the 25th of August and received it on the 28th of June. Otherwise, great quality!

I attended a workshop this summer on Acadian folk music at the HarbourVoices choral festival in St John's, and Heritage was mentioned as a good company if you wanted to buy spoons. Since I'm giving a performance of Franco-Ontarien folksongs as part of the Franco-Ontario Day celebrations at my college, I ordered the small spoons when I got home. The web site is very helpful in explaining the differences between the three sizes, and showing the basic techniques. I chose the red colour, because one...

Usually I don t write reviews on buying products but this I really like. Very good work. Excellent sounding. Need practice. To be honest, paid 12 euro more for custom tax. My recommend anyway. Support family business.

My grandson and daughter each have a set of these spoons. They are so thrilled with them. It's a pure joy watching them learn to play and develope their own style and technique of playing. The quality of craftsmanship is awesome. Will definitely be ordering more.

So, I'm a teachers aid for special needs kids. I take them to some regular classes to help them develop social skills. For kicks and giggles I brought these spoons with me since we were covering beat and rhythm in music class. The students, special needs and Gen Ed alike, LOVE them. I never meant to highjack the class, but it was a fun way for the students to learn. I will definitely order another set in the future. Thank you!

I received these beautiful wood ‘spoons’ while very busy with an event. I still took a little time to watch the helpful instructions and knew I would need to practice to get my rhythm going with this instrument. It makes me feel like I’m part of Americana of the 13 colonies as I imagine this instrument has a long history. I’m planning to practice and play these spoons while we are around the camp fire this fall in our way back property. I’m glad I bought this item.

I love these spoons! I take them everywhere with me. Nice fidget for stress relief and I'm starting to get better with them! Going to order the other sizes and one for my kids too! My son and daughter love playing with this one but, they have little hands. Awesome instrument!

It's amazing. I am a musician and one of the instruments I play is Tombak( a Persian instrument) and I can play most of it's rhythms by your musical spoons. Actually I ordered the medium size by mistake but when I explained that to the Heritage company, they accepted to solve that problem. I will share my playings very soon.

Oh man, it's really sweet. Not only it's really beautiful, it feels really awesome in your hand, it feels like I'm holding an artifact of a bygone world. And as a musician, I can't even contain myself as how much fun this is to play.

Delivery was fast and spoon was well packed. I had to go through some trouble with costums, as I had to pay extra for delivery into Finland. I also told Heritage about my extra costs. They were sorry for this inconvenience and reimbursed me the money had to pay extra. Talk about service!

I bought three different Heritage spoons. The large black one I kept for myself and the two medium size ones I gave as gifts. Everyone loves them! If you are on the fence you should definitely buy one or three.

I got the large red spoons. Swift delivery and an aesthetically appealing piece! I’ve only had them a couple days and pick them up every chance I get. I seem to be having trouble with the finger slide and wondered if the medium size would be better? Or is it just a matter of practice? I love them and it’s great fun to play them!

I LOVE my Heritage spoons! Very comfortable to hold and play. These beautifully crafted spoons allow me to produce a variety of tones which makes playing them even more enjoyable. I just returned from playing them at a folk festival and had a BLAST!

I'm a radio producer and a band leader. I have an extremely well-stocked auxiliary instruments bag filled with everything from nose flutes to flexi-tones, from melodicas to thunder tubes, and I use that stuff for everything from playing gigs with my jazz quartet to developing rich soundscapes for immersive radio plays. I love my Heritage spoons for so many reasons: they look and sound better than anything I've tried, and their ease of use means I can have one up and playing in under a second -- ...

What a lovely object and sound! One of the things I love about the Heritage spoon is that you don't even have to play another instrument to learn and play this! It's also pretty enough to sit on a shelf! I purchased the black for my son, and am going back for another!

Just purchased a maroon large spoon to complete a set I started after a recent vacation to Montréal. I had never seen them before nor had any idea how fun (and addicting) learning and playing could be. Looking forward to posting some clips on social media in the near future.

These are beautifully made, but much harder to play than they look on Felix's videos! As a tap dancer, they appealed to me because it seems like tapping in your hands, and I can definitely get basic rhythms down, but the fidgeting and glide definitely take practice. It is rather exciting when you get your first good "section" along with music :) My go-to practice song is Sea Shanty Medley by Home Free. So fun! Love these musical spoons and would definitely recommend.
