This baby is awesome! I’ve been looking for a top quality push knife for a long time. Most I’ve found are ridiculously expensive, or poor quality. The Duggan feels good in my hand, the blade is great quality and extremely sharp. I also love the size of it, small enough to EDC.

Beautiful, heavy duty combat knife ! Very impressed by its functionality . Very sharp, right out of the box. Can be used for many more heavy duty jobs ! I have been a martial artist since 1966 , I have multiple black belts and what I taught the most was knife fighting . During Vietnam, a knife was my primary weapon, which is probably why I now have a half dozen Skallywag knives, including the MDV plus 1 the MDV folder, guardian the Razorback, and now this beautiful Redonda 👌 !

The gold finish is quite nice. Very uniform across the blade, looks great.
The knife itself - what can I say? It is an MDV+1, so there are a bunch of way to carry, draw, and grip it. A very versatile “get off me” blade. Great quality, very sharp, and easy to maintain.

Each morning I brew up my coffee in my Skallywag press then drink it out of a WWII USMC officers field cup. This is a great coffee press, good for the office, the field or the campsite. Definitely worth the money.

Excellent Functioning Knife Definitely Quailty Solid The blade is perfect length as EDC and I use it for my work all the time the knife base is also Quailty Solid there is no play with blade to the knife base I like the feel in my hand not cumbersome I am never disappointed with SkallyWag knifes I've purchased a few thru out the years and they're all still in Excellent condition even with their continuous everyday use Thanks SkallyWag for building Solid knives will continue to buy more througho...

It may be a mini but, it's a maxi to me! This knife cuts like a razor! All I did was strop the blade. Now I got a 2" scalpel. Well made. I was nervous because of the price being low, but I am ecstatic on this blade. My new edc, in my front pocket. I plan on buying more from skallywag in the future. Pete P.

I usually limit myself to Skallywag tactical folders. I just couldn't pass this knife up. The picture includes my very simple belt attachment that allows me to draw from pocket one handed while cord tension removes sheath. The blade is well balanced and while I'm more efficiency oriented than looks, this knife offers both.

I love your knives and the practicality they offer. I own a lot of knives and I would say that your knives just became my number one carry for everyday. Thanks for making such a great product.

I've been looking for a straight blade, ringed, EDC knife for quite a while. Until I found this one, every other knife was either incredibly expensive or cheap Chinese junk. Also, the fact that that ring is raised instead of lining up with the back of the handle makes it much more ergonomic than many other knives of this type.

Originally ordered the D2 Dagger and trainer, but did not receive the sheath. I contacted Skallywag and promptly got an email informing me the sheath was shipped. Awesome, high-quality products with exceptional customer service. I will definitely use your products again, as well as recommend them to my colleagues.

I needed a new EDC and I knew I wanted something similar to what I was already carrying. My friend showed me his privateer and it fit the bill perfectly. Nice weight, sharp blade, quick and easy to open. This was my first Skallywag knife, but it won’t be my last.

I've wanted a ST blade since I saw the first one years ago, but I could not justify the cost. I bought substitutes, they were suitable but still something was missing, still the desire was there. Then one day I saw an ad on my FB feed for the ST MDV LUX. It was on sale for a very reasonable price. It was quite different from the regular MDV blades. I decided to get one. I bought it and waited for what seemed an eternity, (but was actually a very reasonable time), for it to arrive. Finally!...

This knife is worth every penny and more, as soon as it came in I ordered 3 more and two other items that haven't come in quite yet, if they are in any way the quality of this knife I will be ordering more from these guys very soon!!

Skallywag, yous did it to me again lol. You made another product I absolutely love. Firstly, lemme say that I am a HUGE fan of the Skallywag Daggers (both aluminum and steel) because of their design and operator friendly functionality. With that being said, I’ve always been curious of the MDV+1 design. And like when I bought my Daggers (and any combat tool I acquire/if feasible) I bought the MDV trainer first and used it during my CQB and BJJ sparring. Right off the bat, I absolutely fell in lov...

Love this pen! It has a much better build than the last one I had from a different brand. The FDE color is great and makes it look less " Tacticool".
My only issue was that after a few days of carry, the body came unscrewed and I almost lost the spring holding the refill. A little blue Locktite solved the problem. Great product!

This was worth the wait.. I was able to get both the blade and the trainer.. I love the quality of this trainer.. alot of trainers kinda seem like a after thought, I'm here to tell you this one isn't. If you get the MVD+1 you owe it to yourself to get the trainer also .. and FYI get two rolls of monkey tape.

Great Knife, strong frame, smooth action and very well sharpened. Perfect EDC blade, simple, tough and practical, blade shape is a nice departure from the norm, quite unique looking but very functional.
Highly recommended.

Was unsure when ordering the aluminum dagger but decided to give it a try. This thing is awesome and I assure you it can cut with out having the razor sharpened steel blade. Definitely do not regret. Skallywag is the best!

Actually my bride got this one for me because I was torn between the orange and the purple Mantis. I didn't want to be greedy so, I chose the orange, and she surprised me with the purple 💜. I love that she gets me.
Yes, as you can see I added my own flare. LIL MANTis man lanyard for ease of deployment, retention and acquisition. The clip is so it can easily be transferred to different carry positions or equipment. ie high, low, small of the back etc. You get the picture. I think a kydex sheath...

I bought this MDV folder back in October as a “blem” blade. After receiving it I couldn’t find a scratch on it. I did some research and it was sold as a “blem” because the glass breaker would come loose. I enjoyed this because I took the glass breaker off anyway. Although I haven’t had to use this knife (I bought it strictly as a self defense weapon) I carry it everyday. It has held up well being carried daily and is super lightweight. I have the original MDV+1 as well and couldn’t recommend the...

I like that it weighs nothing and the large thumb loop is great because anyone who has been in a situation knows fine motor skills go out the window. The retention is perfect. It feels comfortable in the hand as well. This is NOT your everyday knife, it is a defensive weapon meant for a one time application do not purchase it as a utility knife.

Incredible deal for the blem model. So good I got two! I really like the feel of this; it is perfectly sized for a pocket. The sheath protects me when in my pocket, but pulls off cleanly during the draw. I also like the grip - not as cumbersome as a ring, but allows me to “let go” of the knife and grab something else while still retaining the blade. I’m looking forward to the trainer being available so I can really get to work.

I own a couple of Skallywag’s fixed blade knives and I am very impressed with them so when I saw the folder selection I snatched up a Mako and a Wahoo. The Mako is an incredible knife. It’s EXTREMELY well made and feels very solid in the hand. The blade is a bit unusual, very wide with a pronounced clip that tapers down to a very fine point that promises to easily penetrate almost anything you’re likely to encounter. The blade, which arrived razor sharp out of the box, can be deployed and folded...

I was prepared for the Jolly Roger. The Mako and Wahoo had caught me off guard. The Jolly Roger wouldn’t. Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was that the box was kinda smallish. At least it was compared to the boxes that the Mako and Wahoo arrived in. Well when I opened the box I was greeted with the sight of the Jolly Roger crammed into the box and occupying nearly all available space. It’s Hefty. When I picked it up it just fit in my hand. Not only that but it’s a good looking knife. It’s ...

I think the Malice is awesome. Great length and balance. The grip and guard keep your hand locked in, making you feel secure in high stress situations. Fit and finish is excellent. I like the safety lock on the sheath. Packaging is top notch as well. A great blade from a great company. Highly recommend.

I love this blade! Very cool and effective design. I have fairly large hands and I can get all four fingers wrapped around the grip. And that's not always possible on most easily concealed self-defense knives. Highly recommended.

Ordered these three amazing products from Skallywag on their "Blemish Sale". I could not find a single blemish on any of the knives. I had several friends look as well. Did find a small issue with one of the sheaths. ( snap strap was put on upside down. Easy fix) Thank you, Skallywagtactical.com for such great products and service.

Knife is excellent, sharp, nice blade profile, feels good in the hand. Handle is grippy, works when wet or dry.
The sheath needs some work. The spring loaded latch looks good, but it’s awkward to unlock and it doesn’t work for pocket carry, so I removed it and added a ulticlip. The blade binds when it goes back into the sheath, needing two or three attempts to seat properly.

So far seems to be a good knife. Haven’t had the opportunity to use it yet in the kitchen. Just beware, the sheath leaves little strands in the knife so be sure to wipe it off before using it

This knife is nice and thin in a pocket. Super sharp and not too heavy for EDC. I wouldn't attempt to used it on boxes or other daily tasks but for self defense, yipe. It s a great blade.

Man what a fun tool! I have yet to use it but just holding it in your hand is a satisfying experience. I can’t say I’m surprised because this is my 5th or 6th Skallywag blade but it keeps reinforcing my appreciation for the work these guys put out. Oh, and it’s worth mentioning that this was a blem item but the only issue is cosmetic: blade, spike, and handle are all exactly as you’d expect. Thanks guys!

Porcupine arrived and went right to pocket and right to work. It quickly sliced and cut multiple of life’s daily tasks. It fits nicely in hand, carries clean in pocket and works like a pro. The Wharnie blade is cool as a cucumber too. Superb sharp tool for a very nice price. Thank you.

I understand the design of the knife and sheath . Love the knife but I hardly carried it because I did not care for the the sheath that the blade arrives with so I was super happy when a normal kydex sheath with reasonable retention became availble. I dont like that I had to pay quite a bit for it and frankly this should either be the default equipment, be an either or choice when purchasing the blade, or it should come with both sheath styles.
The new sheath is great, I stuck a small plas...

The MDV is the ultimate carry knife. I have it affixed to my belt with the retention holster ranger-style, accessible with either left or right hand. I love it & never leave home without it.
I also ordered the trainer--I don't love it. Should fit the same sheath in order to practice draw.

Been carrying for awhile and love the blade. Kind of wish it sat deeper in the pocket. But it easy to access and deploy. The tiny screws on my other scabbard came loose and I was hoping to buy a dozen of those but never heard back. The screw I ordered were the wrong ones.

Great knife! Very Sharp out of the box.
Very slim for easy carry. Added a pen and pliers for reference in size, I thought it was a smaller knife, but the size fills out the hand.

So far really love this knife. Came sharp as hell. It’s comfortable any way you handle it, in regular grip or reverse grip. Only thin I didn’t like was the bulky belt clip , easily removed added Discrete Cary concept clip works well for now. Still very new to me so I will be carrying it a lot more . I trade off between the MDV and this they’re both very good knives. Hard to choose between the both at times. Thank you everyone over at Skallywag for a bitch’in blade.

It has an amazing feel in the hand and the action is smooth
