It’s an awesome trainer. It helps with understanding the distance and feeling of the blade especially through practice. I would totally recommend this. It’s wonderful to get a trainer. That’s very close to the original blade itself and that it helps train without hurting yourself in the process. I would definitely buy another one.

I really love the pen. It’s really nice to have wherever I go. It works real well too for it being a pen. Writes really well and smooth. And it’s really great to have in public. Wow! This went above and beyond my expectations! Super solid, sharp, the grip is perfect. I definitely haven’t needed to tape it for grip because it’s very grippy. Arrived in good time - excellent feel of quality, sturdy construction. I tested it by whittling an oak branch and it performed nicely on the hard wood while being hand-filling (I have large hands) and comfortable to hold. The blade arrived sharp and has held its edge very well. This was a great purchase and I'm very pleased with it!

What a beautiful fixed blade. This has the same blade shape as the MDV-1 which I also love. Just a bit more length. Great for any knife tasks and very balanced. The hooked handle is perfect for sabre and icepick grips and very comfortable. Not too fat so you can easily flip it to change stances.Very solid and great looking in person. Skallywag never disappoints and they didn’t with this knife. It’s well-made, as expected from Skallywag, and sharp as can be. The handle was a bit smaller than I thought it would be but still fits my hand. I added a small paracord lanyard to ensure no fumbling if I have to draw it in a hurry. It’s a nice “little” addition to my Skallywag collection.

Very sharp out of the box, excellent fit and finish. Instead of using grip (monkey) tape I used about 30 rubber o-rings to add grip and a little padding on the handle. Great sheath that accommodates a fast draw. Highly recommended.

The ergonomics of this knife are perfect for my XL size hands. It seats so well in the hand and held in place by the frame on top and bottom. I really like the dorsal fin when open that allows me to push in or pull back with a firm grip. The ball bearings are still a stiff deploy. I did the horizontal water bottle cut and it sailed (😁) right through. Twice since the first cut was a little high. Half full it still sliced through easily. Really sharp.
