The MDV is the ultimate carry knife. I have it affixed to my belt with the retention holster ranger-style, accessible with either left or right hand. I love it & never leave home without it.
I also ordered the trainer--I don't love it. Should fit the same sheath in order to practice draw.

This was worth the wait.. I was able to get both the blade and the trainer.. I love the quality of this trainer.. alot of trainers kinda seem like a after thought, I'm here to tell you this one isn't. If you get the MVD+1 you owe it to yourself to get the trainer also .. and FYI get two rolls of monkey tape.

I love the design of the MDV. I actually thought a trainer was going to be included with the purchase of the Damascus version. š¤·š»āāļø I also think that the retention of the sheath isnāt quite right, even after adjusting the bands. Iād better acquire another rhino sheath and some extra bands to see if I can get a bit more of a secure retention feeling. The rhino sheath that came with it just doesnāt seem to allow the knife to snap into a firmly held place, so Iām afraid it might fall out if I move...

I bought this MDV folder back in October as a āblemā blade. After receiving it I couldnāt find a scratch on it. I did some research and it was sold as a āblemā because the glass breaker would come loose. I enjoyed this because I took the glass breaker off anyway. So far seems to be a good knife. Havenāt had the opportunity to use it yet in the kitchen. Just beware, the sheath leaves little strands in the knife so be sure to wipe it off before using it

Man what a fun tool! I have yet to use it but just holding it in your hand is a satisfying experience. I canāt say Iām surprised because this is my 5th or 6th Skallywag blade but it keeps reinforcing my appreciation for the work these guys put out. Oh, and itās worth mentioning that this was a blem item but the only issue is cosmetic: blade, spike, and handle are all exactly as youād expect. Thanks guys!

This is the second āblemishedā blade Iāve purchased and I canāt tell where itās blemished. I have the fixed blade MDV Plus One and bought the titanium folding version only because it was such a good deal. Again, I canāt tel where itās blemished and, like all of Skallywagās products, this one is solid and razor sharp.

As many folks here, I debated about this one for some time. I figured "Zombie Apocalypse" tool.
Reading the comments on how well it performed finally sold me.
I've got a long history of blade training, and have always wanted one this size. I did not realize how much I would enjoy doing drills and cuts with it. Excellent grip design, I have huge hands. Love the hand and half grip, and all the options of use it allows. Truly a superb blade I am so happy with!

The best edc knife I can imagine. Pair it with the Rhino sheath for the ultimate combo. Holds an edge well and easy to sharpen, I'd love a special run of these in a super steel. It's light enough to forget about while wearing it all day. Very versatile in use and quick deploying. This is my second MDV, more of a backup in case something ever happens to the first.

I have relatively big hands and decided that at this price why not take a chance.
Yes it is a touch small but I have found that I had no problem adjusting to it.
It is so light weight that I donāt feel it when I carry it.

This sheath is really nice has excellent retention, get a 2.2 slim ULTI clip for this and you are in business for multiple carry options and summer attire. I use this as my ocean swimming trunks and when wearing running shorts with the aluminum blade.
