It fits so securely that at first I thought it might be magnetic, but it's not. The stainless steel metal is beautiful, polished and of high quality. It is quite heavy, as it should be. It's smooth on all edges, and obviously very well made. I find it helpful when using my new WDT tool as the higher sides prevent the coffee grounds from falling out. I've been making espresso at home for 19 years, and only just found out about these funnels. I think they are very useful and worth the money.

This is a finely machined, aluminum dosing funnel that appears to be manufactured to impressively rigid specifications. And it has a very nice black anodized finish. I can grind the beans directly into the portafilter without spilling a single spec - which is an accomplishment for the powder that is an espresso grind. It is small, out of the way when not in use, and clean up is a snap - just a quick brushing around the funnel.

I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to single-origin beans, and the biggest headache I had was retention in my grinder. The wooden handle fits well and secure in the hand. And it is pretty. The basket is a tight fit, not easy to put in and get out of the portafilter, but that is necessary so you don't throw the basket with the puck when done.
